Sixi Village

Most of the ancient buildings in the village were built in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. There were more than 70 buildings in prosperous times, and there are more than 30 buildings now. Among them, "Jingxu hall" was built in the Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty. The house is composed of courtyard, main hall, back hall, flower hall, kitchen, garden, etc., covering an area of more than one mu. The architectural sculpture of the guest hall is exquisite and perfect. The hall is rectangular algae top, antique, and is the main location of Liaozhai What's more, the "Baishou map" composed of 96 different characters of "Shou" is engraved in the middle of 12 doors, which can be called "boutique". In addition, there are other ancient dwellings and Tongji Bridge in the village.

Sixi Village

Sixi, a village with the surname of Yu, was built in the fifth year of Qingyuan (1199 A.D.) of the Southern Song Dynasty. Because it is located next to Qingxi, it is named "Sixi" because of the interdependence of fish (Yu) and water.

On December 31, 2019, it will be included in the second batch of National Forest Village list.

The name of the village. Located 19 kilometers north by west of Wuyuan County, the village was built in 1199. Now there are more than 30 Ming and Qing houses in the village. Among them, Jingxu hall, which was built in Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty, covers an area of 664 square meters; the main hall covers an area of 70 square meters, and the gilded plaque of Jingxu hall is hung in the upper hall. The caisson in the hall is rectangular and antique; there are six patios in the house, and the building is equipped with corridor guardrails, especially the carvings of the guest hall are exquisite and perfect; the study is simple and facing the garden, which is very quiet. Even rarer is the Yu's Hakka hall built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. In the middle of the 12 lattice doors in the Hakka hall, there are 96 different characters (Kai, Xing, Cao, Li, Zhuan) engraved with the character "Shou" composed of "Bai Shou Tu". The lattice doors are carved with characters, fish, insects, flowers and birds, Shuixie Lou Tai and other patterns, which can be called "exquisite wood carving".

Sixi is located in Sikou township. Sixi is 1 li away from Yancun village and 10 km away from the county seat. The village was built in the fifth year of Qingyuan (1199 A.D.) of the Southern Song Dynasty. The village is surrounded by mountains and waters. It is embedded in the natural scenery of Jinfeng Xiuling and Qingxi Bihe. The house community is skillfully combined with the natural environment, and the landscape is interspersed with each other. In 1987, Fujian TV station chose to shoot the TV series "Liaozhai" here. Sixi scenic spot, the farmhouse hotel can receive 100 people to stay in Sixi village. "Jingxutang" is also the shooting place of the 20 episode TV series "blue and white" which was shot in Wuyuan in 2006. It has been shot here for half a month. The famous Zhao Yazhi and Siqingaowa have all been here, leaving some stills and group photos with the host. There is also a banner on the wall given to the host by the crew of "blue and white".

Take the minibus from Wuyuan north station to Qinghua and get off at Sikou station. It's 5.00 yuan per person and the journey is about 15 minutes.

[tip] you must ask if you have a car along the way in Wuyuan. You can go to any place you can. You can take agricultural vehicles that run in the village as the main means of transportation. Drivers will not charge indiscriminately.

Take the bus from Sikou station to the entrance of Sixi village, 6.00 yuan / 2 people, the journey is about 4 minutes.

The tickets for Sixi village and Yancun village are 10.00 yuan / person and 10.00 yuan / person respectively. The total distance between the two villages is about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

[tip] tickets can be evaded in Wuyuan scenic spots. I don't support ticket evasion, but as the villagers in Wuyuan can't get any benefits from the tickets, I suggest you donate the money saved to the local school.

Take the minibus from Sikou to Qinghua and get to the rainbow bridge in Qinghua town. It's 3.00 yuan per person and the journey is about 15 minutes.

"Three carving" (brick carving, stone carving and wood carving) is exquisite, which fully reflects the architectural characteristics of Hui style houses. In Qing Dynasty, "silver storehouse" house is now rare in the world; "Jingxu hall" flower hall, with antique flavor, is an ideal place for tea, chess, poetry and painting. On the lattice door of Yu's guest house, there are 96 different characters of "Shou" carved on the "Bai Shou Tu", which can be called "Mu Shou Tu" "Exquisite carving".

Sixi Jingxu hall accommodation catering service introduction: Sixi Jingxu hall was initially famous because a large number of shots in Liaozhai were shot here. "Jingxutang" is a large ancient residence in Sixi village, and it is the best preserved commercial residence. It was built in 1815. Founder Yu Wenjie, also known as Jiji, with the word Jinsan, was awarded "xiuzhuanzuo Shilang" and "Gongsheng". Jingxu hall is composed of courtyard, main hall, back hall, flower hall, kitchen and garden, occupying more than one mu. The gate of "Jingxu hall" faces north. It is open in front of the gate and close to Sixi. Because of the Gongju background and the official title of its master, it is naturally superior to the ordinary commercial houses. When you enter the gate, the door facing you is called "Yimen", commonly known as "Zhongtang gate". Usually, the door is closed, and only dignitaries can open it. Walking through this door, it is really extraordinary. The well is wide, the hall is spacious, and the upstairs is surrounded by a horse corridor. This hall and its furnishings are typical of the Qing Dynasty, with a plaque of "Jingxu hall" hanging on the front door, a middle Hall painting hanging on the bottom, and couplets on both sides. There are bells, vases and mirrors on the table. It's called "East vase and West mirror", homophonic "Dongping Xijing". That is to say, no matter you go east or west, you can be safe and quiet. This is the family's wish to the host who is doing business outside. With the long bell ringing, it is more peaceful for life.

The flower Hall of "Jingxu hall" is more characteristic. The flower hall is paved with BRICs and bluestones, and covered with Dougong caisson. The wood carvings in the flower hall are particularly exquisite. The characters in the drama are both in shape and spirit, and the birds and animals in the landscape are vivid. This small courtyard is exquisite. Looking up at the embroidery building, the exposed horizontal brace is carved with the pattern of "Qin, Qi, calligraphy and painting"
