Xia yangdui generally refers to Papaver ferry
MupA ancient ferry, located in Heyang County, Shaanxi Province, was an important waterway connecting the Qin and Jin Dynasties in ancient times, and there are still navigable ferries.
To the south of xiayangdui is the ancient "xiayangdu", which was an important waterway connecting the Qin and Jin Dynasties in ancient times. It is said that in the early Han Dynasty, the king Bao of Wei rebelled, and Han Xin, the Marquis of Huaiyin, sent troops to fight against the rebellion. In order to confuse the enemy, he asked his troops to pretend to cross the river in Linjinjin downstream, but secretly ordered the soldiers to collect a lot of pottery pots (called Papaver in ancient times) with big belly and small mouth in Xiayang. He clamped these pots with sticks and tied them into rafts, namely "Papaver". He used mupao to go to Anyi, the capital of Wei, to capture the king leopard of Wei alive and quell the rebellion. Therefore, Xia Yangdu was called "Huaiyin ferry" or "mupao ferry" by later generations
. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Liu yingbu, the magistrate of Heyang County, wrote the story of the war in his poem "Yindu of Huaihe River": "Papaver flies across lieluoli, refusing Pujin's first contribution. The heroes on the altar go with the water, and the sound of the waves is like a battle in the river. " Thirty years later, with the eastward movement of the main channel of the Yellow River, we can no longer see the magnificent scene of Xiayang ferry connecting water and sky. But standing on the ruins of "Hanxin city" and "qiwangping" on the Bank of Xiyuan, you can still think about the past and imagine the mind shaking spirit of that year.
