Daqinggou National Nature Reserve is a well preserved ancient remnant forest plant community with a total area of 125000 mu. Daqinggou, known as "chonghule" in Mongolian, is a famous precious broad-leaved forest nature reserve in Inner Mongolia. It is located 25 kilometers southwest of Ganqika Town, Horqin Left wing rear banner, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia. It is a north-south Green Valley.

Daqinggou lies on the field in the south of Tongliao City (Zhelimu League), bordering the Horqin Sand Belt, which is about 250 kilometers long. Daqinggou deep valley is composed of East and West Shuanggou, each of which is more than 10 kilometers long. Shuanggou is a zigzag gully with a depth of more than 100 meters and a width of about 200-300 meters, extending into Liaoning Province. Precious Fraxinus mandshurica, yellow pineapple, Tilia amurensis, white willow, Ulmus pumila, and rare medicinal plants such as honeysuckle, Schisandra chinensis, Arisaema amurensis, Myrtle are distributed in the forest. Although it is located at the edge of the desert, it has strong natural green and many beautiful sceneries. It is really "Jiangnan in the desert".

Natural structure

Daqinggou is known as "desert oasis", "Pearl of sand sea" and "gene bank of natural wild animals and plants", with a total area of 8183 hectares. Daqinggou is 50-100 meters deep and 300-400 meters wide. It stretches more than 20 kilometers from north to south. There are thousands of springs flowing in the ditch all the year round. There are 709 species of primitive rare plant species at the bottom and both sides of the gully. They belong to three flora of Inner Mongolia, Northeast China and North China. They are listed as world scientific investigation projects by UNESCO. Experts and scholars from 57 countries and regions have come here for academic investigation and research. Due to the well preserved forest ecosystem, a variety of animals and birds live and breed here. In 2011, wild animals such as wild boar, roe deer, wolf, sika deer and fox were found.

Daqinggou, a natural ecological and folk tourism product, is famous not only in Inner Mongolia, but also in most of Northeast China, for its unique landform, dense virgin forest, clear streams, lakes, vast deserts in surrounding areas, as well as the unique reception etiquette and eating habits of the local Mongolian people. At present, more than 20 scenic spots have been developed, including primeval forest scenic spot, Sanchakou drifting exploration scenic spot and xiaoqinghu water park scenic spot. Since 2001, Daqinggou folk culture tourism festival has been held every year, attracting a large number of tourists.
