Dupangling

Dupangling mountain range is one of the five mountains, which is located at the junction of Hunan and Guangxi. It crosses Guanyang county and Gongcheng County in Guilin city of Guangxi, and Dao County and Jiangyong County in the south of Yongzhou City of Hunan. The range is northeast southwest, about 75 km long and 20 km wide. Generally 1400m above sea level, jiucailing, the second highest peak of Wuling, is located at the border of Guanyang and Daoxian, with a height of 2009 meters. The strata are mainly composed of Caledonian and late Yanshanian granites, with Cambrian sand shale at the north and south ends, which is a fault block mountain. During the Caledonian movement, the granites intruded and uplifted into mountains, and during the Yanshanian period, the granites intruded on a large scale. The mountains are tall and the rivers develop parallel and symmetrically along the East and west sides and flow into Guanjiang River, Xiaojiang River and Gongcheng River respectively. The vegetation in Dongpo is well preserved. The precious pure forest of Fokienia hodginsii and the mixed forest of Fokienia hodginsii, Tsuga Tsuga and Hakam were found, with a total area of about 1000 hectares.

In the East is mengzhuling, and in the west is Haiyangshan.

Location trend

One of the famous "Five Mountains" in the Dupangling mountains, located in the east of the territory, is the junction of Guanyang, Gongcheng, Daoxian and Jiangyong counties in Hunan Province. It is the largest mountain in the territory. It is said that it is named after "the summit of the mountain is ridu peak, and the dialect of the local people is Yiri pangye". The mountain ranges extend from Quanzhou County to Gongcheng County in the south, with a northeast southwest trend. The mountains are huge and majestic in the territory, with strong north and small branches in the south. They invade the hinterland of Daoxian County, Jiangyong County and Gongcheng County in Hunan Province in the East, and the Guanjiang River Valley in the West. The whole terrain is undulating, gradually rising southward from Yong'an pass to chongtianling (Shuiche and Hongqi) with an altitude of 1500-2009 meters, and then gradually falling below 1500 meters to dinggangao with an altitude of only about 400 meters. The main peaks from north to South are: Laozi Mountain, Jiulong Mountain, jiucailing mountain, Baota Mountain, Motianling mountain, xinaizi mountain, Huashi mountain, shanmuding mountain, yezhudian mountain, Sanfeng mountain, liyuqi mountain, tianmenling mountain, Guanshan Mountain, yangheping mountain, Liangsan mountain, yezhuping mountain and Lishan Mountain, all above 1200 meters above sea level. Jiucailing, with an altitude of 2009.3 meters, is the highest peak in Dupangling and the highest peak in the county. Because the peak is often surrounded by white clouds, it is known as "the sea of white clouds, it is difficult to separate heaven and earth". There are low altitude areas such as Yong'an pass, Leikou pass and dinggang'ao in Dupangling. They are the main roads leading to other provinces and counties, and they have been the places for military strategists.

（1） Baota Mountain, located in the northeast of liuzijie village, Dongshan Yao Township, Quanzhou County, is one of the main peaks at the northern foot of Dupangling, the second peak of Dupangling, with an altitude of 2007 meters.

（2） Sanfeng mountain is located in Fuxing village, Guanyang town. It is one of the main peaks in Dupangling, with an altitude of 1528 meters. It is the birthplace of paijiang river. Its three peaks stand out, like jade shoots, towering into the clouds, beautiful scenery, one of the old eight.

The geological structure of Dupangling mountains is complex, which is mainly composed of Yanshanian and late Caledonian granite, metamorphic rock and double-layer sandy soil. The soil in the mountains is coarse, and the surface soil in the valleys and gentle slopes is deep, which can be used to grow crops. The middle zone is a good place to develop forestry, forestry, grain and oil crops. The top of the mountain is mostly stony weeds due to high altitude and bad climate. Dupangling mountain is rich in natural resources. In addition to pine, fir, bamboo and wild traditional Chinese medicine, there are many rare tree species such as Sapium fukienescens and Tsuga longibracteata growing in Qianjiadong primeval forest, and many kinds of wild animals live in the mountains. The mountain is rich in water resources. There are more than 20 rivers and streams from the mountain, which irrigate the farmland on both sides. It is also rich in tungsten, tin, antimony, iron and fluorite. With magnificent momentum, beautiful mountains and rivers, pleasant climate and beautiful scenery, dupanling is a tourist attraction, including the unpredictable and fascinating Qianjia cave.

In Quanzhou County, the Dupangling mountains are located in the southeast of the county, at the junction of Yongzhou City, Shuangpai County and Dao County in Hunan Province, including Lianghe, Dongshan, Baibao townships and suburbs, yongsui, Huangsha River and villages along the southeast of Xiangjiang River. It is the northern part of Dupangling. The trend of the mountains is roughly ne, with an altitude of 500-1200 meters. Baotashan is located in the northeast of liuzijie village, Dongshan Township, with an altitude of 2007.3 meters.

Jiushiling, located in Dongshan Township, has a total area of about 30 square kilometers and an altitude of 1292.6 meters.

Hejiashan, located in Dongshan Township, is 3 kilometers long and 1000 meters above sea level.

Kouziling, located in Dongshan Township, southwest, altitude of 1000 meters.

Shamaoling, located in Dongshan Township, is 3 km long and 2 km wide, with an altitude of 1193 meters.

Xianrentang, located in Dongshan Township, is 2.5 km long and 2 km wide, with an altitude of 1200 meters.

Mountain Branch

Datongshan mountain, a branch of Dupangling mountain. The Datong mountain range is divided into two branches. One extends from Datong mountain to the southeast through Honghua Dongling Mountain, through Chengxiang mountain and Huilong mountain to Fengxiang mountain, shanhulituo mountain and hululing mountain. It is a Changliang mountain range with a length of about 40 km. The main mountain peaks are Dongling Mountain, Liangting mountain (Longqi Mountain) and Xishan Mountain. The other guabi mountain extends from Huashan Mountain to the south It extends to the junction of Qingtang County, Pingle county and Zhaoping County, turns to the East and rises, and connects with Dayaoshan (Dajishan) mountain range, standing in the west corner of the county. The main peaks are leileishan, datanping, guabishan, hululing, etc.

The main peaks are Datong mountain, Lantao mountain, Tangdu mountain and shirentou mountain, all of which are composed of sand shale mountains.

Datong mountain is located 10 kilometers north of Liang'an Township and the boundary between Gongcheng County and Sanjiang. The main peak is 1528 meters above sea level. The mountains are high and steep, and the trees are luxuriant.

Located 13 kilometers north of Liang'an Township, Lantian mountain is the junction of Fu, Zhong and Gong counties. The main peak is 1481 meters above sea level. The mountains are high and steep, and the trees are luxuriant.

Tangdu mountain is located 6 kilometers north of Liangan Township, with an altitude of 1361 meters and a small forest. Shilengtou is located 7 km northeast of Liangan township. Its main peak is 921 meters above sea level. It has luxuriant trees and contains rare earth minerals.

Huashan Mountain

In the west of Huashan Mountain, the main peaks are Jinlongshan, Sifangshan, kuzhujie, jimuding, sanqiling, dezhiling, yangyangtou, niugutou, baimianling, Wushishan, tianfengling, qilinling, Baimaoling, shankouling, Xiling, etc., which are all granite mountains.

Jinlong mountain is located 6 kilometers northwest of xingzhai village, with the main peak at an altitude of 1013 meters. The mountains are steep and the trees are luxuriant.

Sifang mountain is located in the west of xingzhai village. The main peak is 738.7 meters above sea level, with small woods. Kuzhujie is located 9 kilometers west of Liangan township. The main peak is 1279.8 meters above sea level, with high mountains and steep slopes and lush trees. It contains rare earth minerals. Jimuding is located 12 kilometers north of Huashan Township and at the junction of Gongcheng County. The main peak is 1273.2 meters above sea level. The trees are luxuriant.

Trigeminal ridge is located near Huashan forest farm, and the main peak is 819.8 meters above sea level. Lush trees, containing tin and rare earth ore.

Dezhiling is located 4 kilometers southwest of Huashan forest farm, with the main peak at an altitude of 1012 meters. The trees are luxuriant and contain tin ore.

Dashantou is located 5 kilometers to the north of Huashan township. The main peak is 789 meters above sea level. It contains monazite deposits.

Baimianling is located 3 kilometers south of Huashan forest farm, and its main peak is 876 meters above sea level. The trees are luxuriant and contain mineral resources.

Goat head is located 1 km southwest of zhoujianao, with the main peak at 1245.8 meters above sea level. There are woods and monazite deposits.

Niugutou is located 2 kilometers south of zhoujianao. Its main peak is 886 meters above sea level. It has woods and contains monazite and other minerals.

Tianfengling is located near Linping, Huashan Township, with an altitude of 883 meters.

Wushi mountain is located 5 kilometers northwest of Huangbao, with an altitude of 923.4 meters.

Baimaoling is located 4 kilometers north of Huangbao. Its main peak is 1013.9 meters above sea level, with trees and mineral resources.

Shankouling is located near Huangbao village, Yantang Township, with the main peak at an altitude of 535 meters.

Qilinling is located 3 kilometers northwest of Yantang Township, and its main peak is 559.9 meters above sea level.

Xiling is located 4 kilometers southwest of Honghua township. The main peak is 786.8 meters above sea level, with luxuriant trees.

Daweiling is located 4 km west of niumiao, the main peak is 706.5 meters above sea level, with sparse trees and iron ore deposits.

Dongling Mountain

Dongling mountains in the west, the main peaks are Dongling, niuchongling, etc., which are composed of sand shale mountains.

Dongling is located 3 kilometers southeast of Honghua Township, with the main peak at 931 meters above sea level. There is iron ore in the mountain. Niuchongling is located 3km southwest of Dayao, Chengxiang township. Its main peak is 417m above sea level, with pine forests. The main peaks of guabi mountain in the south-west are leileishan, Fenghuangling, Liuyu (Qie), Xianggu mountain, Lizhu mountain, dalingding, niutouding, guabi mountain, hululing, Qiling, tianluling, yantianling, etc., which are composed of sandy shale mountains.

Located at the junction of Zhaoping County and 7 km south of Qingtang Township, the main peak is 880.6 meters above sea level with luxuriant trees.

Fenghuangling is located 7.5km southeast of Qingtang township. Its main peak is 559.6m above sea level, with luxuriant trees.
