Guo Dashan
The steep and straight mountain in the northeast of Lucheng is called "Guoda mountain"; there is a high arrow pole on the top of the mountain, so it is also called "arrow pole mountain".
The origin of arrow
It is said that this arrow was triggered by the bending bow of Qiongzhou in the Ming Dynasty. One arrow is hundreds of miles away. There is another book: Kong Ming's expedition to the West ordered Guo Da to make arrows. "Guo Da made three thousand arrows in one night, and there were Qingyang dancing around the stove, which was also true God and man. Kong Ming was very happy and granted Guo Da the title of general under the curtain.". However, this "arrow" actually towered over the top of Guoda mountain. "Arrow" is an iron mani flagpole, towering over the precipitous peak. A few feet away from the "arrow", the terrain is more dangerous. The climber needs to clamp the back of the peak with his legs. Facing the wind of Guaner mountain, he can walk with his limbs to the top of the mountain as a gecko. If he is not careful, he will worry about falling off the cliff on both sides.
Guoda Temple
Because of their admiration for "Xihe zhurong" of Kongming and their desire to live in harmony with other nationalities, the people of all ethnic groups in Lucheng respected general Guoda and built Guoda Temple (commonly known as general temple) as early as the fourth year of Yongzheng (1726). The temple has a towering eaves and a large Tibetan Scripture tube on the left side of the hall. The statue of General Guo DA in the main hall looks like Tibetan or Han nationality. It has wide eyes, wide mouth and a red face. It is not necessary to wear a round cap with red Tassels and copper pots of Tibetan officials. It is wearing a Tibetan embroidered robe and riding on a big blue sheep. Therefore, it is also said among the Tibetan people that the statue of Guoda temple is the "soft" Dharma protector in Lamaism. "Dangruan" is a blacksmith, a god worshipped by Tibetan iron workers. He holds a Tibetan leather torch and sits down as a big goat. Guoda temple has been abandoned, and the statue of Guoda has been moved to the side hall of Jixiang Buddhist temple in Paoma mountain. In addition, there is a statue of General Guo DA in the temple.
Guo Dashan predicts sunny and rainy days
Guo Dashan is regarded as the barometer of Kangding. When the clouds and fog diffuse, there will be rain, and the test is correct, so it has the reputation of "stay between Bu Yuhua".
legend
Guo Dashan was not originally named by this name, but by zongzhashan. The mountain god's name is dangjingduojileba. He is a handsome young man. There is a fairy peak (i.e. Paoma mountain) in Zhashan. The mountain god of fairy peak is zhaxizerenma, a beautiful and capable girl.
Over the years, dangjingduo gilleba fell in love with zhaxizerenma. So when jingduojileba chose an auspicious day, he divided the white scarf tied around his neck into two, one for his own use, and the other for Buddha's proposal, which was sent to zaxizerenma, and formally proposed to her. Zhaxizerenma happily agreed and tied the scarf on his head, flying in the wind.
As a result, the "two gauze scarves" became the famous "scenery" in Kangding. The one tied around dangjingduojileba's neck was "Guoda Tingyun", and the one tied on zhaxizerenma's head was "a smooth cloud on a running horse mountain". In the Three Kingdoms period, when Zhuge Kongming went to Menghuo, in order to raise weapons, he sent Guo DA and his troops to the southwest to find a secret place to build bows and arrows. Guo Da went out of Chengdu and went all the way to the West. After a lot of hardships, he finally found such an ideal place, surrounded by mountains and two rivers. So he settled down in this place and set up a furnace to make arrows. The stove for Guo Da's arrow making is built under a steep mountain. The bellows are set east along the river. The intersection of the two rivers becomes the place for Guo Da's arrow making. Guo Da made arrows here day after day. The fire kept burning all day long, and the bellows kept on. Until one day, Guo Da died of vomiting blood at the fireside because of overwork. Guo Da was tired to death, but the fire was still burning and the bellows were still open, so later generations named this place "Dajian stove" and the mountain beside the stove "Guo Da mountain".
In memory of Guo Da, later generations also specially made a huge iron stick, such as an arrow, which was placed on the top of the mountain. Every year, they went up the mountain and tied mani flag on the iron stick to pray for Guo Da's soul to rest in peace and for the good luck and safety of the archery furnace. Today, when the sky is clear, you can clearly see the iron bar on the top of Guoda mountain.
Because the fire didn't go out and the bellows didn't stop when Guo Da died, there were fires in Kangding city from time to time. At the mouth of the bellows is dafengwan in the east of Kangding City, where there are strong winds from time to time.
At this time, old Kangding would murmur: "Guo Shu is still thinking about shooting arrows! So later generations built a "general temple" in the city to mold Guo Da's golden body and ask him to protect this living creature.
