The two-story water cave and the two-story dry cave are vertical and horizontal, forming a spiral structure with a floor to floor structure. The largest cave hall covers an area of 12000 square meters and can accommodate tens of thousands of people. There are a reservoir, two Yin rivers, three underground waterfalls, four pools, 13 halls and 96 corridors in the cave. The flow marks, edge stones, inverted stone buds and inverted pot shaped pits are well developed in the cave, and the calcareous stone deposits are colorful and colorful. The stone emulsion, stone column, stalagmite, stone curtain, stone organ and stone flower precipitated by dripping water from the stone wall of the dome are like crystal jade. They are dazzling, colorful and beautiful. They have the reputation of "underground labyrinth".
Development and utilization
The total area of the bottom of Huanglong cave is 100000 square meters, with a total length of 7.5 kilometers and a vertical height of 140 meters. The cave is divided into four layers. There are holes in the cave, rivers in the cave, stalagmites, stone pillars and stalactites. All kinds of cave wonders are beautiful. According to experts' research, about 380 million years ago, Huanglongdong area was a vast ocean, where highly soluble limestone and dolomite layers were deposited. After a long period of time, caves began to grow. Until 65 million years ago, the crust uplifted and dry karst caves appeared. Then, through the action of karst and water flow, today's underground wonders were formed. More than 70 experts from the Ministry of geology of China have concluded that Huanglong cave is the "all-round champion" of karst caves in the world, with its large scale, complete content and beautiful scenery covering almost all the contents of "cave science".

Introduction to scenic spots
a lobby
The gathering hall is the smallest of the 13 halls in Huanglong cave, with an area of about 6000 square meters. The place with dim lights and lots of stalagmites is the Dragon stage. It is said that it is the place where the Dragon Lord dances. Every year today, the Dragon Lord holds a grand dance here. There is also a gorgeous box on the cliff. It is said that the little daughter of the Dragon Lord and her sweetheart are dating there.
Xiangshui River
Xiangshui River, a Yinhe River in the second floor of Huanglong cave, has a total length of 2820 meters. It takes about 8 minutes to visit some 800 meters. The average water depth of Xiangshui river is 6 meters, the deepest is 12 meters, and the water temperature is maintained at 16 ℃. It is an ideal living environment for giant salamander, a national first-class key protected animal. Along the Xiangshui River, there are many wonders in the cave, such as Dragon King's golden helmet, seashells floating in the sky, conch blowing in the sky, Hidden Dragon gorge, chaxiangtai, Tianxian bridge and so on.
Loess high slope
Tianxian palace is the widest hall in Huanglong cave. It is 96 meters wide from north to South and 105 meters long from east to west. On the right is a huge group of stone waterfalls, 62 meters wide from north to South and 105 meters wide from east to west, with a drop of 40 meters. It is the largest group of stone waterfalls in the tourist caves developed in China. In karst cave science, we call it "underflow stone", which is the secondary calcium carbonate deposition formed by the sheet water generated by the dripping water at the top of the cave in the process of flowing at the bottom of the cave. Because the cave top is thin and the mud content in the water is high, the color of Liushi waterfall is yellow. Therefore, it is named "loess high slope".
Tianxianshui waterfall
Tianxianshui waterfall is the largest three springs in Huanglong cave. It pours down like smoke and fog from the 30 meter high honeycomb cave top, forming a magnificent waterfall spectacle. There is an inexhaustible flow in the four seasons, with a drop of 27.3 meters. It really has the momentum of "flying down 3000 feet, and it is suspected that the Milky way is falling nine days". On the top of the cave is a high mountain with dense forest. The surface water on the mountain converges into a stream and penetrates along the gap of the cave top to form the tianxianshui waterfall.
Huaguo Mountain
Huaguo Mountain scenic spot is a hall where small drips are well developed in Huanglong cave. Drop stone is formed by precipitation of saturated calcium carbonate solution at the top of the cave during the dropping process. The one growing from the top of the cave is called stalactite, and the one growing from the bottom of the cave is called stalagmite. When the two grow together, they are called stone pillars. Stalagmites, stalactites and pillars are collectively referred to as stalactites.
Tianzhu Street
Cross Tianxian bridge, the largest stone arch bridge in China's tourist caves, and enter Tianzhu street, the third floor of Huanglong cave. Tianzhu street is a market in the sky, where immortals do business. Tianzhu street is centered on the "Tiantian market", which is prosperous and full of spring. The stone pillars and flowers of Huaguo Mountain are overlapped in the West Street, and the dome shaped cave roof of Tiantang palace in the East Street is tall and deep. Looking up along the long collapsed slope, two large stone pillars and wall flow stones are eroded by groundwater, forming a wonderful cavity. It is named "Shiqin mountain" because it can knock out wonderful and pleasant notes from different places. In 1984, when CCTV made the TV feature film "underground Pearl - Huanglong cave", it was on these two stone pillars that a complete song of selling newspapers was knocked out.
Dragon palace hall
The fourth floor of Huanglong cave is "dragon palace hall", which is 16-30 meters higher than Huaguo Mountain and Tianzhu street. Longgong hall is the largest hall in Huanglong cave, the earliest and oldest hall in Huanglong cave, and the most developed Hall of stalagmites in the open tourist caves in China. The bottom area is 14000 square meters, the average height of the cave top is 40 meters, there are 1705 stalagmites and stone pillars, of which 516 are more than 1 meter, and the distribution density of stalagmites is 0.12 per square meter. The whole dragon palace is magnificent, rugged and magnificent. In 1992, when sansel, a senior consultant of the World Heritage Committee, came to the Dragon Palace, he once commented that "this is the most concentrated and lifelike place of karst cave stalagmites I have ever seen. Huanglong cave is worthy of being a wonder of karst cave in the world. It's really amazing. "
key stand
In the Dragon Palace, there is a tall and thin stalagmite, which is called "dinghaishen needle". Its shape is very strange. It is 19.2 meters high, thick at both ends and thin in the middle. The diameter of the thinnest part is only 10 cm. Growing on a collapsed slope, Dinghaishenzhen is the tallest Stalagmite in Huanglong cave. According to cave scientists, it will take at least 200000 years for it to grow to this height. The upper end of the "dinghaishen needle" is 6 meters away from the cave top, and there is still water dripping on the top, which is still in the stage of growth and development. It is estimated that it will take 60000 years to "stand up to heaven and earth". As a landmark scenic spot of Huanglong cave, in order to express the value of "Dinghaishenzhen" and enhance people's awareness of protection, Huanglong Cave Scenic Spot bought 100 million yuan of insurance for it in the insurance company on April 18, 1998, setting a precedent for the world to buy insurance for resource assets.
