characteristic
Bailangtan is rare in the world because it is rich in titanium ore in the sand
One of the "black gold beaches". Titanium (element symbol: Ti, English Name: titanium, atomic number 22) is a kind of non-magnetic rare metal element, which can react with oxygen through acidolysis and hydrolysis to produce titanium dioxide (English Name: titanium dioxide), with molecular formula of TiO2 and relative molecular weight of 79.90. Titanium dioxide is the whitest material in the world, with strong adhesion and covering power. One gram of titanium dioxide can make 450 square centimeter area snow-white, non-toxic and tasteless, and has strong radiation absorption power. It is widely used in cosmetics raw materials. Almost all whitening cosmetics contain titanium dioxide. Titanium dioxide is also widely used in aerospace, medicine, food, environmental protection and other industries.
Titanium sand bath is the most simple and direct natural whitening method. Dig a hole on the beach and let titanium sand bury itself. Acid substances such as sweat secreted by human body can catalyze the reaction between titanium and oxygen. After burying in the sand for a period of time, the human skin will feel the obvious smooth feeling, such as applying coagulated fat. In order to ensure the safety of tourists taking titanium sand bath, the scenic spot management office has banned motor vehicles from entering the beach. However, in order to avoid the strong ultraviolet rays on the beach, it is suggested that tourists rent solar umbrellas for shading.
On the morning of March 20, 2014, Shao Qiwei, director general of China National Tourism Administration, led a group of seven directors to investigate bailangtan scenic spot on Jiangshan Peninsula, accompanied by Lantian Li, vice chairman of Guangxi. During the investigation, Shao Qiwei listened to the introduction of the development and construction of Jiangshan peninsula. He also went down to bailangtan, bent over and picked up a handful of black sand to study. Bailangtan is white and black because the sand is rich in titanium. Because titanium dioxide, which is produced by the reaction between titanium and oxygen after acid hydrolysis, has strong sun protection and whitening effect, many tourists come to bailangtan to dig a pit to bury themselves, so that acid substances such as sweat secreted by human body can catalyze the reaction between titanium and oxygen, so as to realize the simplest and most direct natural whitening. development
With the further development and construction of Jiangshan Peninsula tourist resort, the infrastructure of bailangtan scenic spot is gradually improved. The Nanhua garden Sea View Hotel and Jiangshan Sea View Hotel of WISCO will be put into use. The construction of Weibo keystone five-star hotel, maritime world five-star hotel, tourism greenway and a number of leisure and entertainment facilities are speeding up. More and more people choose bailangtan as the destination of leisure tourism. In 2012, it received more than 3 million domestic and foreign tourists.
The number of tourists in Jiangshan Peninsula resort, where bailangtan is located, was 300000 in 2010, 900000 in 2011, 3 million in 2012 and 5.02 million in 2013.
