Chaocheng Mosque
Chaocheng mosque is located in the west of North Street of Chaocheng Town, covering an area of more than two mu, with a construction area of 540 square meters, facing the east from the West. According to the "repair summary" in the temple, the temple was built in the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty (1407), 600 years ago. The temple is composed of gate, hall, lecture hall, water room, living room and worship hall. It has a central axis with grand scale, complete layout and unique style. It is one of the large mosques in western Shandong, and is now the key cultural relics protection unit in Liaocheng City.
Historical evolution
According to the "repair summary" in the temple, Chaocheng mosque was built in the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty (1407) and rebuilt in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, 600 years ago. The main building of the temple is the main hall. It is an important place for Hui people to carry out religious activities in Chaocheng area. In 1937, Beishan of the main hall was bombarded by Japanese shells, so far the traces of repair are clearly visible. It was repaired twice in 1963 and 1985.

Chaocheng mosque is located in the West and faces the East, covering an area of about 2 mu. It is spacious, bright and quiet, surrounded by qulan. According to the "repair summary" of the temple, the main hall is decorated with the green color of Islam symbolizing peace. The main gate is tower type. The entrance door is a pair of halls, and the back of the hall is the main hall. Next to the hall are two bathing rooms, two living rooms and three lecture halls. The main hall is a double eaves Xieshan, covered with square bricks and gray tiles. Tile ridge decorated with twelve zodiac and crescent, painted sculpture, vivid image posture. The main hall is built on a high platform with three wide faces and a total area of 200 square meters. It is composed of a rolling shed, a string hall and a back hall. It is simple and majestic with carved beams and painted buildings. Brick wall hard hill, there are 12 pillars, three beams from the frame. The hall is a classical Islamic religious building, reflecting the religious and cultural characteristics of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

It is the best preserved and largest classical Islamic religion in the county It reflects the cultural and religious characteristics of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a municipal cultural relic protection unit. Among them, the gate surface shows three entrances, stone wood structure, big wood ridge, double eaves Xieshan, bucket arch frame, cornice wing angle, magnificent, for the first example of the province's mosque gate.
