Changmaoling deer farm
Changmaoling deer farm is located in nadengtong, changmaoling Township, leiwuqi County, at an altitude of 3960 meters, 52 kilometers away from the county seat, which is accessible by car. In 1988, it was designated as a red deer nature reserve by the Tibet rare wild animal investigation team.
The farm was built in 1975 and expanded year by year. Now it covers an area of 3.6 square kilometers and raises more than 120 wild red deer. There are at least a few hundred wild deer outside the deer farm. Changmaoling deer farm is not only the Changdu area, but also the only natural domestication site of red deer in Tibet. In the deer farm, red deer is the main animal under the second level national protection, and there are a small number of white lipped deer under the first level national protection. Due to the relationship between topography and climate, the area of deer farm is characterized by open mountains, rich water and grass, and rich vegetation.
At the time of spring and summer, the whole grassland becomes a green world full of micro organisms, and the various wild flowers in full bloom on the grassland are colorful, competing for wonders, and various rare birds and animals roam leisurely in the sunshine bestowed by nature. Under the guidance of reindeer people, when you enter the circle, red deer will lick your palm with their tongue, which is very interesting and lovely. Make you feel the cooperation and warmth between people and animals.
