Xin'an stele Garden
Xin'an stele garden is located on the opposite bank of Lianjiang River in the west of she County, Anhui Province. The main building consists of three parts. One is the 200 meter long stele corridor, which is winding and winding, giving visitors a deep feeling. The niches inside the corridor, plus a shield, are used to display steles. Along with the extension of the stele corridor, there are ancient columns and watchposts. The exquisite carvings on the columns are all from the famous people's swords and pens in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, which are rare artistic works. The second is "Piyun Xiaozhu", which is a three Bay bungalow imitating the style of Ming and Qing Dynasties. There is a court in front of the house and a courtyard behind the house. The interior door and window patterns and brick carvings show the unique style of Huizhou ancient buildings. The third is "liangqingtang", whose name is derived from the two famous inscriptions, yuqingzhaitie and qingjiantang tie. In addition, rockeries, pools, pavilions and small bridges are interspersed among them, and flower walls, leaky windows and door openings are transparent to each other, making it a major scenic spot in Shexian county.
Cultural relics collection
There are more than 200 pieces of inscriptions and famous inscriptions in Xin'an stele garden. Among them, yuqingzhaitie and qingjiantang tie are two sets of sutras, which are collected from the Jin Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty, and have been highly praised by the calligraphy circles of later generations. Yuqingzhaitie was engraved in the middle of Wanli period in Ming Dynasty. The collected famous tie was originally collected by Wu Guoting in Ming Dynasty. Wu Guoting, also known as Wu Ting, was born in Nanfeng, Shexian county. He worshipped steles and calligraphy all his life. He was a famous collector of Jin and Tang Dynasties. "Shexian Zhi" records: "Qing Da Nei collection of calligraphy and painting, which is particularly good, half (Wu) court old collection, has its mark." The Wu family also engaged the great calligraphers at that time, Dong Qichang and Chen Jiru, to identify and judge his collection. Yang Mingshi, a famous calligrapher in Shexian County, carved his famous calligraphy pieces on the stone with double hooks. There are six volumes in total, which were set on the stone in August of the 24th year of Wanli (1596), and two volumes in succession, which were set on the stone in June of the 42nd year of Wanli (1614). The seventeen pieces collected in this post, such as the seventeen by Wang Youjun, a calligrapher of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, were approved by the people of Tang Dynasty and had a double hook version. There was also a postscript by Song Lian, a great literary master in the early Ming Dynasty. Wu Guoting said with pride, "it should be the first seventeen pieces in the world. Now it's in neifu, because it's copied by stone." During the Ming Dynasty, Yang Ming was also famous for copying the stone in yuqingzhaitie Qing Jian Tang tie came out later than Yu Qing Zhai tie, which was collected and engraved by Wu Zhen, another famous collector in Ming Dynasty. Wu Zhen was born in Shenxu, Shexian county. He was good friends with Dong Qichang and Chen Jiru, and his collection was also identified and commented by Dong and Chen. This post was engraved in the seventh year of chongjia (163), and it was evaluated in Shexian annals: "it has more items than Yuqing (zhaitie), and its hook and copy are also fine." It has 31 works of 24 famous artists from Jin Dynasty to Ming Dynasty, including two volumes of Wang Xizhi's "master's note of clarification hall" in Eastern Jin Dynasty, Yu Shinan, Chu suiliang, Ouyang Xun and huaisu in Tang Dynasty, Huang Tingjian, MI Di and Zhao mengrui in Yuan Dynasty, so it has always been valued by the calligraphy circles.
Overall evaluation
Xin'an stele garden has reasonable layout and ingenious design in its narrow area. Beautiful natural scenery, unique garden design and precious stele art are harmoniously integrated into one, which is deeply loved by Chinese and foreign tourists, especially by calligraphy lovers.
