Buliu River
Buliu River, the main stream of Pearl River, is a tributary of the Hongshui section of Xijiang River. It originates from cenwanglao mountain in Lingyun County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, flows through Lingyun County, Leye County and Tian'e County, and joins Hongshui River in banaitun (Longtan Reservoir Area) of Tian'e County, with a total length of 160 km and a rainfall collection area of 3418 km2.
Along the Buliu River, especially the Xianrenqiao section, is a scenic spot integrating Xiushan, Lvshui, Xianqiao and Qidong. It is called "Kingdom of plants, paradise of birds" by experts, and has the nickname of "journey to heaven".
General situation of main stream
Originating from Cenwanglaoshan, Yuhong Township, Lingyun County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, it flows across the northern part of Lingyun county from west to east to Bailong, Jiayou Town, and then flows northward to Leye County through Xiasan. Lingyun county has a total length of 63.5 km, with a rainfall collection area of 380 square kilometers, accounting for 18.65% of the total area of the county. There are four tributaries with a rainfall collection area of more than 25 square kilometers, with an average annual runoff of 349.9 million cubic meters. The gap in Lingyun county is 549 meters, with an average gradient of 0.86%.
In Leye County, the mainstream of Buliu river flows through the southeast of Leye County, then flows north to Tiane county. Leye is 31 km long.
The main stream of Buliu river flows into Tian'e county from Xianren bridge in bamantun, Xinlin village, Gengxin Township, and then flows into Hongshui River from banaitun through Xinlin, Nana, Shili, pingla and Jiangan villages. The length of the river is 60.9 km, collecting rainfall from 28 villages in the county. The accumulated rainfall area is 1100 square kilometers, accounting for 34% of the total area of the county.

In Lingyun County, the average annual flow of Buliu river is 6.4 cubic meters per second, the maximum flow is 671 cubic meters per second, and the minimum flow is 0.502 cubic meters per second.
The Buliu river basin covers an area of 101.8 square kilometers (excluding the rain collection area of the tributaries flowing into the Buliu River in Tian'e county). Leye County has an entry elevation of 520 meters, an exit elevation of 442 meters, a natural fall of 78 meters, and an average slope of 2.5 ‰. The controlled drainage area above the exit point is 555 square kilometers, including 101.8 square kilometers in the county. The annual average discharge is 6.94 cubic meters per second, and the annual average runoff is 219 million cubic meters (40 million cubic meters in the county). The theoretical reserve of water energy in the county is 9718 kilowatts, and the exploitable water resources are 4859 kilowatts.
In Tian'e County, the maximum discharge of Buliu River occurred on August 11, 1964, with a value of 2600 cubic meters per second, corresponding to a maximum water level of 15.86 meters (assumed base level of pingla hydrological station); the minimum discharge occurred on April 28, 1975, with a value of 1.50 cubic meters per second, corresponding to a minimum water level of 4.39 meters (assumed base level). The annual average discharge is 41.4 cubic meters per second, the annual average runoff is 7.365 billion cubic meters, and the annual average runoff depth is 394.3 mm. Over the years, the average water surface width is 63 meters, the maximum water surface width is 74.4 meters, the average velocity is 0.59 meters per second, the maximum velocity is 3.96 meters per second, and the drop is 17.32 meters.
Main tributaries
The tributary of Nahong originates from Tianlin county. The tributary is 4.2 km long, with a rainfall collection area of 55 square kilometers and an average annual runoff of 50.6 million cubic meters. The drop is 80 meters, the average gradient is 1.9%, the maximum flow is 79 cubic meters per second, and the minimum flow is 0.07 cubic meters per second. There are three small hydropower stations, namely Nali, Naxiang and Yuhong.
Nashuo tributary, originating from Weiwang, Lingyun County, is 8.3 km long, with a rainfall collection area of 34 square kilometers and an average annual runoff of 313.3 million cubic meters. The drop is 152 meters, the average gradient is 1.83%, the maximum flow is 60 cubic meters per second, and the minimum flow is 0.05 cubic meters per second.
Yangdian tributary, originating from xiangshuidong, Lingyun County, is 11.1 km long, with a rainfall collection area of 91 square kilometers and an average annual runoff of 83.8 million cubic meters. The drop is 227 meters, the average gradient is 2.04%, the maximum flow is 161 cubic meters per second, and the minimum flow is 0.12 cubic meters per second. Shuangmou water conservancy was built.
Dashan tributary, originated in Jiuxian, Lingyun County, is 18.8 km long, with a rainfall collection area of 38 km and an average annual runoff of 35 million cubic meters. The drop is 205m, the average gradient is 1.09%, the maximum flow is 57m3 / s, and the minimum flow is 0.05m3/s. After the confluence of Buliu River and Dashan tributary, it turns and flows northward for 49.2km. In Bailong, it confluences with the small tributary from the west, and then flows downward for 4.5km. It confluences with the small tributary from the west, and then flows northward through Xiasan to the boundary of Leye County.
Naan river is a tributary of Buliu River, which originates from the north of moulako mountain in Mazhuang village of Leye County. The source elevation is 1200 meters. After passing through Xinzhai, Kadai, guida, nahui and naantun in rural village of Mazhuang, they enter Tiane county at 2km to the east of fu'etun, and then pass through Longyu, pingla and Xiangyang in Xiangyang Township to join Buliu river at 10km to the east of Xiangyang. The river flows from west to East in the county, the main stream is 16.4km long, the natural drop is 120m, the average slope is 2.9 ‰, and the drainage area is 63.9km2. The annual average runoff depth is 380mm, the annual average flow is 0.77m3/s, the annual average runoff is 24 million m3, the low flow is 0.14m3/s, and the maximum flow is 515 m3 / s. The theoretical reserves of water resources are 823 kW and the exploitable capacity is 117 kW. The vegetation in the basin is good. By 1989, water diversion projects and small hydropower stations had been built on the Naan river.
Gema River, originated from mahuang'ao in the middle of Leye County, is a tributary of Buliu river. The source elevation is 1100 meters. Through Xinchang of Youping Township, Bianli and Shangzhong villages of Mazhuang Township, they leave the country and enter Tian'e county 1 km east of pingcaitun, Shangzhong village. In Gengxin township of Tian'e County, laitingtun village joins Buliu river. The flow direction is from the source, from west to east to the residence of Mazhuang township government, and then to the southeast to Buliu river. Along the way, it passes through 19 natural villages, with a total length of 43.9 km. The length of the main stream in the county is 35.9 km, the natural fall is 670 m, the average slope is 2.7 ‰, and the drainage area is 201.9 km2. The annual average runoff depth is 385 mm, the annual average flow is 2.45 cubic meters per second, the annual average runoff is 77 million cubic meters, the low flow is 0.5 cubic meters per second, and the maximum flow is 3963 cubic meters per second. The theoretical reserves of hydraulic resources are 4528 kW and the exploitable capacity is 1307 kW. The main tributaries of Gema River are Damin River, Linna River, bagan River, Zhongting River and Yuanzi underground river. They converge into the mainstream in Baba, Mazhuang forest farm, Nalou, riverside and Bayan. The basin is mostly covered by trees. Up to 1989, 52 water diversion projects, 11 water lifting projects and 2 small hydropower stations have been built along the river.
Jiali River, originated from gaolao mountain, Jiudong village, gantian Town, Leye, is a tributary of Buliu river. The elevation of the source is 738m. After passing through lianzhuan, Renli, zhuanli, Xieli, Baini, Zhonghe and Baicun villages in Xinhua Township, and Kali and Xinlin villages in Tian'e County, it joins the Buliu River 1 km to the east of bayantun in Xinlin village. The river is located in the southeast of Leye and runs across the whole township of Xinhua. From its source, it flows northeast to Baini village, turns east to Baicun, turns north to tianegari, and then turns southeast to join the Buliu river. The basin belongs to erosion landform with good vegetation coverage. The main stream is 68 km long, the natural fall is 358 m, the average slope is 1.3 ‰, the average river width is 15 m, and the total drainage area is 476 square km. The annual average runoff depth is 400 mm, the annual average flow is 6.02 cubic meters per second, and the annual average runoff is 190 million cubic meters. The theoretical reserves of water resources are 11147 kW and the exploitable capacity is 3344 kW. The main stream in Leye County is 52 km long, with an average width of 23 m, a natural drop of 278 m, an average slope of 1.5 ‰, and a drainage area of 378 square kilometers. The annual average runoff depth is 400mm, the annual average flow is 4.79m3/s, the annual average runoff is 151 million m3, the low flow is 1.3m3/s, and the maximum flow is 6097m3 / s. The theoretical reserves of water resources are 4866 kW and the exploitable capacity is 1709 kW. The main tributaries are Hongli, Baipeng and Shiwen, which flow into the mainstream at Jiali, Xieli and Baini respectively. There are 1 township government, 7 villager committees and 32 natural villages along the river. There are 1 small (1) reservoir, 217 water diversion projects, 52 water lifting projects and 15 small hydropower stations. Due to the serious destruction of vegetation in the basin, a catastrophic flood occurred on June 23, 1983, causing heavy losses along the river, with a direct economic loss of 5.02 million yuan.
