Dingguo Temple
Dingguo temple is located at the top of Hanling mountain, nine kilometers northeast of Anyang City, Henan Province. It was first built in 532 ad (the second year of Zhongxing in the Northern Wei Dynasty). Covering an area of 66670 square meters, it was approved as a formal Buddhist activity site by Anyang County Religious Bureau and Anyang City Religious Bureau from 1990 to 1995.
"Hanling schist" is one of the eight scenes in Anyang. Gao Huan, the Prime Minister of the Northern Wei Dynasty, defeated Er Zhuzhao here. In order to remember this, he built Dingguo temple in Hanling mountain and built a stele to honor his achievements. Wen Zisheng wrote the stele. It is a famous monument in Anyang. Dingguo temple has superior geographical location and convenient traffic conditions. There are three thoroughfares leading to the urban area, 107 National Road and Beijing Guangzhou railway in the west, Beijing Zhuhai Expressway, Jiuqu Zhanghe River in the north and Taotao Huan River in the south. As the thoroughfare of Jin, Yi, Lu and Henan provinces, Anyang is known as the throat of Northern Henan.
