Guan Bao Fen Jin Ting
During the spring and Autumn period, Guan Zhong and Bao Shuya, two famous prime ministers of Qi, unexpectedly found gold bars and gave them to Sangzi. To commemorate this event, later generations built a magnificent "Guanbao Fenjin Pavilion" about 50 meters west of Guanzhen street in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty.
present situation
On November 8, 2002, Xuyi county of Jiangsu Province decided to invest 500000 yuan to rebuild Guanbao Fenjin Pavilion in Guanzhen Town, and started construction on the same day.
brief introduction
In Xuyi county, Guanbao Fenjin Pavilion, which was rebuilt at the original site, is 10.5 meters wide at the bottom and 13.6 meters high. On the whole, it is square. There are four tall and towering iron men standing on it. On the East and west sides are statues of Guan Zhong and Bao Shuya when they were young, holding shining gold bars in their hands, and on the other side are statues of Guan Bao when they were old. The eight walls on both sides of the four gates are respectively painted with eight relief carvings, such as picking up gold, waiting to receive gold, dividing gold and giving gold, which vividly and intuitively reproduces the scene of Guan Bao's dividing gold at that time.
Origin and reason
It is said that during the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, Guan Zhong and Bao Shuya were both famous good ministers and statesmen of Qi. They had been together since childhood and were brothers. Because of their poor families, they engaged in small business to support their families. Once, they came to Gusi Prefecture, where merchants gathered and wineries were densely distributed, to engage in liquor selling. After their income gradually increased, they took it as their business. But no matter how much profit they made, they both went to a quiet place and shared equally. One day, after spending money, they lamented that it would be hard for them to make a big profit and make a big deal. They discussed the next step. An old man came to them and taught them the "secret recipe" of making a lot of money: let them add water to the wine, and they would make a huge profit, which was severely rejected by them. However, the old man did not know what he was interested in, so they left angrily. Just walking a few steps, they suddenly saw a big snake blocking their way. They were so scared that they were at a loss. At this time, the old man came with a hoe. Holding the hoe, he cut the snake into two pieces. Then he picked up the broken snake and knocked it in his hand. It turned out to be two pieces of gold. After giving the gold to them, the old man said, "you are all pillars of the country. Don't miss your future because of your poor life." Then, floating away. They knew that they were grateful when they met the immortal. However, Guan Bao believed that "if the gold is given by heaven, how can it be divided privately? It should be left to the people." he immediately separated the gold from the local villagers in the north and South villages. Later generations were grateful for Guan Bao's spirit of sharing money and raised money to build a sharing Pavilion. It is also said that in order to commemorate this event, a magnificent "Guanbao Fenjin Pavilion" was built about 50 meters west of Guanzhen street in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. The pavilion was destroyed in 1959.
