Since ancient times, due to the rugged mountain roads in southern Hunan, the Bianjiang river has become an important waterway. According to historical records, Zhang Jiuling, Han Yu and Liu Yuxi of the Tang Dynasty, Qin Guan and Yue Fei of the Song Dynasty all traveled through the Bianjiang river. In particular, Han Yu was banished to the South twice, and he went to Bianjiang.
