Dahuawan Water Conservancy Scenic Spot, located in the hinterland of Gaotai agricultural area, is a national AAAA scenic spot. It is a water park integrating tourism, leisure and vacation.

Dahu Bay scenic area is mainly composed of Dahu Bay and xiyaodun reservoir, with a total area of 10 square kilometers, including 5 square kilometers of water area. The scenic spot is low-lying and abundant in water. It is suitable for a variety of birds to inhabit, breed and grow. There are more than 20 kinds of migratory birds, such as black stork, swan, white stork and yellow duck, which are the first-class protected animals and the second-class protected animals. It is an important gathering area for migratory birds. The vegetation coverage rate of the scenic spot reaches 95%.

Historical evolution

In ancient times, it was called submarine lake and Weichang lake. It is located 7 kilometers northwest of the county. It is 3.5 km long from east to west and 2 km wide from north to south, covering a total area of 7 square kilometers, including 3.5 square kilometers of water area. The deepest water level in the water area is about 4 meters, surrounded by vast farmland, forest network and green space. The reservoir is km away from Gaoluo in the South and the Heihe River in the north. The lake has a broad surface. In spring, summer and autumn, the water potential is vast and sparkling. It has a wonderful scene of "autumn water grows in the sky, sunset and lone ducks fly together". There are two natural reed marshes in the middle of the reservoir, covering an area of 1.5 square kilometers. Where the breeze passes, the reed leaves are symphonic and the reed marshes are misty. In the center of the lake, there is an antique Dragon Court with carved beams and painted buildings, which is also called "Dragon Palace on water". The whole dragon palace has a construction area of 3060 square meters and 33 dragons.

The scenic area has continuously strengthened infrastructure construction, invested 212 million yuan successively, built water dragon palace, holiday villa, Chongwen building and cultural square, Huzhong Island Leisure Club, fishing center, tourist service center, equipped with various yachts, water parachutes, battery sightseeing vehicles, sightseeing bicycles and other entertainment facilities, and successfully held "Dragon Boat Festival Lake Tour" and "Dragon Boat Invitational race" The dragon boat race, the long-distance race around the lake, the fishing competition and other activities, especially the dragon boat race, which has been held for six consecutive years, have become the city's influential Tourism Festival, effectively enhancing the popularity and influence of the scenic spot. Dahu Bay scenic area has become a famous resort and tourist destination.

Fishing center: the fishing center is located in Xize of xiyaodun reservoir. It was built in 2012, covering an area of 25000 square meters. It has a national standard fishing pool, fish storage pool and referee platform, which can undertake national fishing events. In 2012, the national fisherman open competition (Gaotai, China) and the 12th Gansu Provincial fishing Championship were held here.

Chongwenlou Cultural Plaza covers an area of 13900 square meters, with left and right pavilions, East and West villas. There are water plank road and corridor above the square. Behind the champion Ma, there are two corridors, namely the East corridor and the west corridor. These two corridors introduce us to 12 historical stories. These historical stories reflect the historical context and historical figures of Gaotai from ancient times to the present, and help us to understand Gaotai. In the West cloister, we can see six stories: Dayu leading the weak water into the quicksand, King Mu of Zhou touring the west to see the queen mother, Huo Qubing's battle in Hexi, duanye's separate rule in Jiankang and jianbeiliang, Wang Xiaojie's establishment of Jiankang army, and Xuanzang of Tang Dynasty's Taizi temple. The six stories of the East cloister are Yang Bo's building of the Great Wall in Hexi, niangenyao's equalizing water in Heihe River, mu Guolu's building of Sanqing canal, Guo Changlong's running of county school, Dong Zhentang's bloody battle platform, and the peaceful liberation of the platform.

Zhuangyuan horse, 3.2 meters high, is based on the Han dynasty war horse unearthed from camel city site. Riding the champion horse means to be the first to succeed.

Ruyi bell means to pray for good fortune. It is made of Xiangtong with a diameter of 1.5 meters, a height of 2.3 meters, a wall thickness of 10 cm and a weight of about 4 tons.

The towering Pavilion in front of Chongwen building is Chongwen building, which was built in 2011. Chongwen building means advocating literature and learning. The main purpose of building this building is to continue the outstanding and long-standing culture of Gaotai. In today's era of cultural development, it encourages students to study hard and make progress in learning, so as to repay and build their hometown and motherland in the future.

Chongwen building project covers an area of 1735 square meters, with a construction area of 1124 square meters. It is composed of three parts: Taiming, building body and Baoding. It is designed as a four sided and five storey building with double eaves and sharp roofs, with a total height of 41.68 meters.

The exhibition of Chongwen building is based on the concept of "harmony between man and nature" and the requirements of building a new landmark of the city. The layout of Chongwen building is from heaven, earth and man, and from earth to heaven, the five sons are selected to be promoted step by step. Among them, the first floor is "Wenhui high platform", which shows the capable people with lofty ideals; the second floor is "advocating morality and virtue", which shows the famous figures in various industries in history; the third floor is "supreme sages and pioneers", The fourth level is "Wenchang operation" to show mythical figures; the sixth level is "looking up at the stars" to show astronomical knowledge.
