Lanyuan is one of the earliest open parks in Changzhou. Walking into the park, we can see colorful flowers with faint fragrance. Along the cobblestone path, there is a big fountain in front. The pool water is clear and the bottom is covered with dense pebbles, as if sleeping; in the green water, many fish swim freely; there is a small stone bridge like a zebra in the middle of the river, and two bronze dolls play in the pool water. He came to Changzhou and stepped on this stone to point out 99 famous mountains in the south of the Yangtze River. He just forgot to point out a mountain at his feet. Because of this, there has been no mountain in Changzhou since then, leaving only the footprints of Lu Chunyang on the stone. Later generations engraved "Shanhai town" to commemorate the trace of Lu Xian and "qingshuitan" (on the north side of the park, there is a pool of clear water, in which there is a stone, engraved with "qingshuitan". It is said that there was a pond in this area. No matter when there was drought or flood, the water in the pond was clear all the year round, so it was named "qingshuitan". The original sanmaotang Taoist temple at the edge of the pool was changed to qingshuitan primary school (now Yonghong primary school), and the name of Qingtan road and Qingtan new village is also derived from the legend. Ingeniously conceived, two groups of modern garden attractions full of myth and legend were created.

After transformation

After the transformation, the landscape and vegetation of the original park are basically preserved, and the varieties of trees and shrubs have increased from 50 to more than 150. The central green space of the park is equipped with large shade square, fitness facilities, public activity stage, etc., so that citizens can enjoy themselves at will. The orchid garden not only maintains the original style of Jiangnan garden, but also reflects the requirements of modern urban green space landscape.

Three characteristics
