Former residence of Feng Yuxiang
Feng Yuxiang's former residence, located in Zhuke village, Xiage Town, Chaohu City, Anhui Province, is the residence of Feng Yuxiang when he returned to his hometown in 1936.
Feng Yuxiang's former residence covers an area of 4690 square meters, with a building area of 432 square meters. There are 5 buildings with 22 rooms, and 19 rooms are well preserved. The former residence is divided into two main courtyards, the front courtyard mainly includes the foyer and conference hall, and the back courtyard mainly includes the study, bedroom and guard room. Feng Yuxiang's former residence is decorated with furniture such as armchair, brown bed and desk used by general Feng Yuxiang when he lived here, as well as photos, handwriting and relics of Feng Yuxiang's life, as well as two elegy pictures inscribed by Mao Zedong and Zhu De, and birthday congratulation words inscribed by Zhou Enlai.
On May 25, 2006, Feng Yuxiang's former residence was approved by the State Council to be listed in the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
Historical evolution
In 1936, Feng Yuxiang returned to Zhuke village, Xiage Town, Chaohu City. His former residence was his living room at that time. He also invested in the renovation of his ancestral house and the construction of an additional conference hall and bodyguard room.
In 1937, the kitchen and dining room of Feng Yuxiang's former residence were destroyed by Japanese invaders.
In 1988, on the occasion of the 106th anniversary of Mr. Feng Yuxiang's birth, the old house was renovated and the living room was turned into the exhibition hall of general Feng Yuxiang's life story.
In 1992, on the 110th anniversary of Feng Yuxiang's birth, a full-length statue of general Feng Yuxiang was set up.
In 2013, Chaohu municipal government redesigned the old residence and established the exhibition hall of general Feng Yuxiang's life story and general Feng Yuxiang's calligraphy art.

The house is a typical residential building between jiangzhun and jiangzhun. The statue and inscription of general Feng Yuxiang stand in the center, with pine and cypress flowers and trees on both sides. In the green belt on the right, there is a stone tablet of "blue sea and heavenly heart".

In 1995, Feng Yuxiang's former residence was designated as the patriotic education base of Chaohu City.

Conservation planning

History and culture
Feng Yuxiang (1882-1948), born in Zhuke village, Xiage Town, Chaohu City, Anhui Province. Feng Yuxiang is an outstanding patriotic general, a democratic fighter, and a close friend of the Communist Party of China. He lives a simple life, runs the army strictly, and is jealous of evil.
