Shanghai North Street
North Street, also known as "the first line Street", is the first street in Ming and Qing Dynasties, which is the most well preserved in the outskirts of Shanghai. It has a total length of more than two miles, and its east from the bridge to the west, to the about three thousand of the American Zhou Dynasty, is the most representative architectural essence of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Here, there are many old-fashioned houses, scattered walls, narrow streets, winding roads, and many old and famous shops, showing a picture of the ancient water town in the south of the Yangtze River.
Beidajie is backed by Caogang River and next to Fangsheng bridge. As early as the formation of the ancient town, it was convenient for both water and land transportation, so merchants gathered, "trade is better than other towns". Teahouses and wine shops, North and South groceries, rice shops and meat shops are well-equipped. They have become the oldest commercial center that has been prosperous for a hundred years. They are sometimes known as "long street, three li, shops and family". Today, there is still a century old shop "Han Da Long soy sauce garden" on the street, with Shikumen wall and ancient style still existing. "Maosu restaurant" is a newly opened old shop with a wide range of fish, shrimp, crab, eel and seasonal delicacies. There is also the largest "old town teahouse" in the suburbs of Shanghai, which rises up the stairs along the carved flower and wood railings. There are more than 30 eight immortals tables. Every day there are full seats for tea guests. They can enjoy the unique flavor of the old teahouse by "incubating" environment, "soaking" time, "chatting" and "talking" changes. There are also some traditional handicraft shops rarely seen by people living in urban areas, such as bamboo baskets, Castanopsis, rattan chairs, wooden barrels Such as bamboo and wood utensils, you can not only see the whole process of "original" production, but also take a few pieces as a souvenir, which is really memorable. Recently, the government has introduced rent-free and tax reduction to attract foreign investment. Many shops, such as antiques, ceramics, flowers and birds, calligraphy and paintings, local specialties, handicrafts, and special snacks, have been opened one after another. The shop moves in the wind, and red lanterns are hanging high. People are walking on the street, "stepping on the stone road, one shop at a time. Looking up a line of sky, the antique is coming.".
The North Street, which has a history of more than 400 years, is connected with a beautiful legend of "one building, three repairs, more than 100000". Along the street, there are stone tablets, sculptures, former residences of celebrities, as well as anecdotes, which are charming and fascinating. However, walking along the North Street, the buildings, famous shops, ancient bridges and alleys are most worth watching.
Although the North Street is called "big", it is only three or four meters wide, and the narrowest is only two meters. The brick and wood buildings on both sides are almost connected with dripping eaves. Standing in the middle of the street, looking up at the sky, you can see a line of blue sky, which gives people the feeling of "boundless sky, if there is an edge". The residents on the street can push the window to talk, shake hands and pass things to each other, just like a family. The atmosphere is very harmonious, forming a "one line Street" ”Unique landscape.
Old street on both sides of the houses, cornices Qiaojiao, Mashan wall, the facade in one style lattice floor long windows, old-fashioned lacquer row door panels, showing a strong flavor of simple and elegant. Especially in the former residence of famous doctor Chen Lianfang, there is a two-story building near the street, with a row of carved railings corridor, and carved eaves baffle inlay. The pattern is unique, the knife technique is fine, and the originality fully reflects the ingenuity of ancient architects. Here, three friends and five friends can lean on the street to enjoy the scenery, recite poems and enjoy tea. It's like going back in time. There are two intriguing "Sanyang bay" and "Jiaozi bay" on the North Street. The 90 degree turn cut by towering dwellings makes people suspect that it is at the end of the road, but there is another world around the corner. It's worth seeing that "Sanyang bay" is unique and unique An old-fashioned three-story structure, ordinary outside, but spacious inside, and then layers of winding up
On the third floor, overlooking the Caogang River and the Fangsheng bridge, you can see the sails and the lake.
"If you don't look at the bridge when you get to Jiaoli (another name of Zhujiajiao), it means that you never get to Jiaoli.". Walking along the North Street from west to East, looking at the lane on the left and looking at the bridge on the right is the most appropriate. Bear the brunt, is the suburb of the largest fangshengqiao, simple dignified, majestic momentum. On the left, the antique archway in fangshengnong stands out, reflecting each other. In the middle of the line, an arched Wujia bridge connecting the small buildings on both sides of the bank rises high. Pomegranate flowers are in full bloom in the cracks of the bridge. It seems to tell an ancient legend that the cloud pattern bluestone is paved with steps. The corresponding "Si path" lane is connected with a moving story of the "four King Kong" in front of cimen temple. Not long after, an arched archway with carved flowers and polished water bricks added another scenic line to the ancient street. Then, a covered bridge with green tiles and wooden structure came into view. The whole bridge is simple and elegant, exquisite and transparent. Visitors can walk in the bud lane, walk on the wooden level, and walk on the corridor bridge, as if walking into the historical corridor. Town God's Temple, a newly built arch bridge with unique shape, is also a beautiful Zhou Dynasty opposite to the right side. It is said that it was named as "Manchuria people" who lived here.
In recent years, Wu Bangguo, Huang Ju, Xu Kuangdi and other leaders have visited Beidajie in person. Wu Bangguo also inscribed "Zhujiajiao, a famous historical town in China". In the first half of 1991, the municipal government decided to build Beidajie into the first Ming and Qing Dynasty pedestrian street in the suburbs of Shanghai. Experts from all walks of life gathered in the ancient town to plan, design and draw a blueprint. "Yunqiao Yule", one of the ten sceneries of the ancient town, is a group of antique buildings, which have sprung up at the entrance of Beidajie and meitongnong. On the old street, the modern street lamps have been changed into antique lanterns, and there are also three additional wind and fire walls, hanging foot pavilions, platforms, eaves and corridors. By then, the old street of Beida will attract more and more guests from all directions.
