Changshou District (putishan Cultural Park) of Chongqing was officially approved as a national 4A scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration in May 2017.

geographical position

Puti mountain is located in Puti street, Changshou District, Chongqing, which is in the central area of Changshou City Development Zone. The land road is 63 km away from the main urban area of Chongqing. Historical legend

There is a legend among the old folk that the Bodhi ancestor passed by with a burden. With a wave of his hands, the burden became three mountains, the shoulder pole became huangcaoshan, and the two baskets became Bodhi mountain and Cuan mountain respectively.

Putishan longevity cultural city covers a total area of about 14 square kilometers. It is adjacent to Yuyi Expressway and national highway 319 in the south, yuwushan Road, Yuli railway and Yuwan intercity railway in the north, only 2 kilometers away from the Yangtze River in the south, Changshou Urban Development Zone in the East and south, and Yanjia Industrial Park in the West.

Culture

Changshou District is the only District in 2862 districts and counties in China that takes "Changshou" as its place name. The place name of Changshou District benefits from a beautiful legend handed down from the Ming Dynasty: "two and a half rounds of Huajia, seven generations of grandchildren". This place name and legend reflect that Changshou District was a blessed place with beautiful scenery and many longevity stars in ancient times. The local longevity culture has a long history. According to historical materials such as "Changshou county annals" and "Guangji in Shuzhong", there is "Changshou mountain in the county, and there are many people living under it, so it is named" Changshou county ". However, there are two legends about Changshou County: "Wenxing worshiping Shouxing" and "often drinking he Shijing spring water", but these old ruins no longer exist, and the legends are relatively out of touch with reality, which can not fully show the glorious history of longevity.

The origin of the name of Bodhi mountain is recorded in longevity county annals: because Bodhi Dharma is here, it is named.

In the spring and February of Dingmao (1507) in Zhengde of Ming Dynasty, Dai Jin, a county Jinshi, thought that "the sun rises in the East and comes to Jing (there is a crystal mountain in the east of the county), and the sun enters in the West and shines on Jing. The two words "Jing" and "Jing" are actually created by heaven. If the mountain is named Bodhi, it has no meaning. It should be renamed "Jing mountain." Since then, Bodhi mountain is also known as crystal mountain. Dai Jinyou wrote a poem, which said:

The Buddha sculptures in the temple are solemn, and all kinds of decorations are meticulous. The legend of Jigong monk is recorded here, which has high religious culture and cultural relic value. Tiantai temple and Longquan Temple also have similar status.

Bodhi vision

Changshou ancient town covers an area of 2000 mu, adjacent to Taohua new town in Changshou District in the East, Changshou old town in the South and Bodhi mountain in the northwest. The ancient town is positioned as a cultural tourism real estate project with tourism as the main part and real estate as the supplement. It takes Bayu culture as the background and Western architectural culture as the platform to show the humanistic culture and Chinese Longevity Culture of Bayu region for thousands of years.

It is understood that the project is funded by Yunnan Chuxiong Huitong ancient town cultural tourism development company, with a total investment of 4.3 billion yuan. The first phase project with an area of 300 mu will be completed and put into use.

"The abbots of the southern and Northern Shaolin temples have visited Changshou.". The staff member said that Shaolin Temple will be introduced into the Buddha longevity cultural tourist area to build the Bodhi mountain Shaolin Temple. They have introduced bodhi tree, Bodhi flame and Buddha bone relic from the birthplace of Buddhism, striving to build Bodhi mountain into the fifth largest Buddhist mountain in China.

Traffic information

Changshou District is 63 kilometers away from the main urban area of Chongqing. Chongqing Yichang Expressway and Chongqing Wanzhou Expressway meet in Changshou city.
