Little Three Gorges

Wushan small Three Gorges is located on Madu River, a tributary of DiCui gorge of Daning River. It is the general name of Changtan gorge, Qinwang gorge and Sanzhi gorge. Wushan small Three Gorges is known as the best drifting area in China. It returns to nature without danger and participates in drifting - "China's first drifting".

In January 2016, the National Tourism Administration and the Ministry of environmental protection planned to identify the Wushan small Three Gorges - small Three Gorges ecotourism area in Chongqing as a national ecotourism demonstration area.

Wushan small Three Gorges

Changtan gorge: from Shuanghe to Pinghe, with a total length of 5 km. In the gorge, there is a section of river beach about 2 kilometers long, more than 10 meters wide, straight line, level as a mirror, white sand and stone, which is covered by mountains and rivers on both sides, so it is called Changtan gorge. The gorge is characterized by narrow valley, high mountains and steep cliffs. The water is clear and the bottom is clear. There are many kinds of fish swimming in the water. There are many colorful pebbles and fossils along the coast. There are Dishui rock, Congming spring, hand climbing rock and chuandongzi in the gorge.

Qinwang gorge: from shangdukou to Shuanghe, with a total length of 4 km. It is the best place for rafting because of its beautiful scenery, deep tranquility, gentle water flow and clear bottom. There is a big karst cave on the East Bank of Qinwang gorge. It is said that during the reign of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty, there were mountain bandits surnamed Qin who occupied the cave as the king and killed the common people. They were captured by Zhang Xianzhong, a peasant uprising army, so they were named "capture (Qin) king cave". There are wangxiangtai, hutouyan, Huanglong river crossing, Liyu leaping to Longmen, Xiannv Yingbin, xianle bell, luohantang and other scenic spots in the gorge.

Sanbiao gorge: it starts from the entrance of Madu River, with a total length of 5 kilometers. It is the first gorge of the Three Gorges. The cliffs on both sides of the river are like chopping; the river is narrow, the sky is open, and the scenery is quiet and the water is beautiful. Sailing against the current, the current is fast and there is no way to pull fiber, so it can only be supported by one pole, so it is also known as "Changbiao gorge". The original vegetation here is undamaged. The green color along the way reflects the eyes. Strange bell milk is born everywhere. The sky is full of waterfalls, rain and fog, full of strong poetic flavor. In the gorge, there are Luhuitou, shouxingfeng, shizhuwan, xiangsiquan, longhutan, Bajie river crossing, mother's stone, moon village and other landscapes.

There is a cave on the East Bank of the Qinwang gorge. It is said that there was a man surnamed Qin in the Ming Dynasty who respected the emperor's order to boil nitrate and supervise the production of explosives. The imperial court granted him the title of the king of Qin. The cave was named "Qinwang cave" and the gorge was also named "Qinwang gorge". In the gorge, the bank is steep and the current is gentle, with a straight line of 1000 meters long beach. Looking up, the mountains on both sides of the river are towering, and they seem to be embracing each other. Looking down, the river is as clear as a mirror, and there are occasional schools of fish swimming by, which attract people to catch each other, causing layers of water to shine in the sun.

In the small Three Gorges, you can take a willow shaped wooden boat with fiber rod support, rub the pebbles at the bottom of the river, and walk slowly against the surging waves to enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Strait. On May 8, 2007, Chongqing Wushan small Three Gorges - small Three Gorges was officially approved as a national 5A tourist attraction by the National Tourism Administration.
