Ni sichong, a northern warlord, once served as the patrol envoy of the Yangtze River and the governor of Anhui Province. After he left the army in 1920, he lived in Tianjin with three residences.

Ni sichong has three residences in Tianjin
The first one is on the south side of the west section of San Ma Road (today's progress road, Hebei District) in the original concession. It is a very elegant building. On the left is Wang Zhilong's house, and on the opposite side is Yiguo hospital (today's first municipal hospital)
The second is located in the former walled road of the British concession (now Nanjing Road Peace conservatory). It was originally a large building with spacious terrain. He also built a building with rockeries, pavilions, flowers and trees. It is very elegant. Ni sichong likes to live in the garden house very much. Since he lived in Tianjin in 1920, he has been living in this former House (now 88 Nanjing Road Peace conservatory)
The third house is located at Machang road in the former British concession (now the site of children's Hospital). After Ni purchased the land, he planned to build Ni's garden for his later life. Only a few courtyard walls and flower houses have been built in this third house. In addition, the tian'anli building in the former Japanese concession is also Ni's property. It was originally the residence of the Japanese police department, and later it was converted into Shengli, becoming a prostitute area

In the summer of 1924, Ni sichong died of cerebrovascular accident and was buried in the Nijia Garden (today's children's Hospital) of tonglou, Tianjin. The epitaph of Ni sichong was written by Ma Qichang of Tongcheng, Fu Zengxiang of Jiang'an, and Wang Yitang zhuangai of Hefei. In 1953, the Municipal People's Government decided to build a children's Hospital in the Nijia garden and sent someone to discuss with Ni Shuping, the third son of Ni sichong and then manager of Lizhong acid factory, After more than one year's preparation, the children's hospital was built in November 1954 and completed in 1957

Ni sichong's former residence is located at 88 Nanjing Road, Heping District. The house was originally a building with spacious terrain. Ni sichong later built a building with rockery, pavilion, flowers and trees, which is very elegant. In 1920, Ni sichong moved from the Italian Concession to Anhui Province. The former residence is now used by the peace Conservatory and is listed as an immovable cultural relic that has not been declared as a cultural relic protection unit in Tianjin.
Profile
Ni sichong (1868-1924), born in Fuyang, Anhui Province, was a scholar. His original name was Yugui (Yufeng), and his name was Danchen. He was born in nizhai, Fuyang, Anhui Province (now Funan County). In 1893, Ni sichong became a scholar. Later, he went to Shandong Province and became the magistrate of en county (now Pingyuan county). In 1899, Yuan Shikai acted as governor of Shandong Province, and Ni became an important member of Yuan's shogunate.
