Former site of salt bank
The former site of salt bank is located in Xiheyan street, Qianmen, Xicheng District (formerly Xuanwu District). It was established in 1915 with the approval of Yuan Shikai.
In November 2018, the former site of salt bank was included in the list of the third batch of "20th century architectural heritage projects" in China.

The former site of salt bank covers an area of about 800 square meters. Reinforced concrete brick concrete structure. Seven rooms wide, with red brick walls as the main theme. The two ends are decorated with stone pilasters, and the capitals are carved. The middle five rooms are of two-story Ionian style with eaves walls and eaves tops. The window heads on the third floor are decorated with triangular mountain flowers, and there is a vase railing parapet at the top. The other three sides are decorated simply, with white eaves and white window covers. The openings of doors and windows are large, with arc arches on the first floor and square windows on the second and third floors. In 2004, it was announced as the delimited protection area and construction control zone. The protection area is the building itself and the projection area of apron and steps.
