Yan Songnian's tomb is located in the northeast of wulunta, Yuelu Mountain, Yuelu District, Changsha City. It is a tower tomb with Changsha local characteristics in the period of the Republic of China. According to textual research: Yan Songnian (- 1911), once served as the vice captain of the guard team of Hunan dududufu. In October 1911, he joined the Changsha uprising of 1911 with Jiao Dafeng and Chen Zuoxin. After the uprising failed, he was arrested and later killed near Wenchang Pavilion. He was only 28 years old when he died. The tomb was built in 1912, facing east from west. The plane layout of the tomb is fan-shaped, covering an area of about 10 square meters. The tombstone is placed on the top of the tomb, in the shape of a square tower with a large bottom and a small top. The running script "Tomb of the year of Yan Gongsong" is engraved in the East. The height of the tombstone is about 2 meters. As an important part of the tombs of the 1911 Revolution in Yuelu Mountain, the tomb has important historical and artistic value for the study of Yan Songnian's life and the history of the old democratic revolution, as well as the changes of the tomb shape in the early Republic of China.
