Qiaokou Park
Qiaokou park is located in the upper section of Zhongshan Avenue in Hankou. It was built in 1957, covering an area of 39600 square meters, including 26600 square meters of green space, with a green space rate of 69.27%. During 1981-1988, a scenic spot was built on the underground civil air defense project, including a Square Pavilion, an artificial pool, a lotus shaped bridge and a carp spray sculpture in the pool; a scenic spot named "crescent Pavilion" was built in the east of the park, the south of which was dug into a lake, and most of the buildings were close to the air, with a folding stone spring; a "spring and autumn building" was built in the north of the park, which was divided into upper and lower floors, surrounded by the pool, and behind the building An exhibition hall is connected with a curved bridge on the water surface; the old corridor in the west of the park is demolished and a "qinxinyuan" is built, with small pavilions on both sides and a corridor in the middle; and the "double Pavilions" are built at the entrance and exit of the hidden underground works of the park.
In 1998, Qiaokou District government reconstructed the park. More than 6000 square meters of land have been vacated by demolishing houses. The drainage pipe network has been completely transformed. A fountain square has been built. The core of the dam site of the Three Gorges project, the comprehensive service department, the garden wall in the garden, and the sculpture of urban construction have been added. Metal perspective railings have been installed on the Zhongshan Avenue. The box office of the new park has been built. 13000 square meters of turf has been newly paved. More than 200 ornamental plants have been planted. The park was officially opened in 1999.
