Yizhou Island

Yizhou island is the resident of Yizhou village committee in tangbu Town, Tengxian county. It is located on the Xunjiang River, the main stream of the Pearl River. The Tropic of cancer passes through the island. It is about 10 km away from Tengxian county and 70 km away from Wuzhou City. The island is 5 km long and 1 km wide, with more than 5500 people. It is the second largest inland river island in Guangxi. The island is surrounded by water and bamboo. In the center of the island are patches of green cash crops.

Island introduction

To the north of the island, there is a piece of silver sand beach. At the junction of the sand beach and the river, there is a jagged reef. This beautiful environment makes tourists excited. The largest kapok tree in Guangxi on the island is even more exciting. They go to the tree, embrace the "hero tree" excitedly, measure its path and take a group photo in front of it. On the island, there is also the famous Lion King of the East --- Yizhou peasant lion team, which is the hometown of the famous Anti Japanese general shihualong (Yunfei) (commander of Taierzhuang battle station). Yizhou is a cash crop area with fertile land, rich products, fragrant fruits and vegetables, especially the black skin wax gourd, with an annual output of more than 5 million jin. Besides, Yizhou orange, Yizhou vegetable, Yizhou litchi and other economic crops are well-known. In the area along the river in Wuzhou, there is a saying that "feibujuezhou is no more fertile". The island has simple folk customs, surrounded by green bamboos and beautiful scenery. There is also a peasant lion dance team on the island, which won the championship of World Lion King competition in Yunding cup of Malaysia in 2004 and the reputation of "Oriental Lion King".
