Tangdou spring

Tangdou spring is located in the tangdou Temple site in the south of Huolu village, Ganggou Town, Licheng county. It is recorded in Volume 18 of Licheng county annals by Qianlong of Qing Dynasty and Volume 6 of Jinan Prefecture annals by Daoguang. It is said that the cave here was named after the tribute of Tang Dynasty soldiers to Tang Dynasty.

It is said that the cave here was named after the tribute of Tang Dynasty to Tang Dynasty. Today, the spring is located on the rock wall, and the water flows out from the rock crack. Through the rectangular pool built by chiseling stone, it flows northward along the mountain and converges in the reservoir intercepted by the stone dam. Beside the spring is a tall and straight ancient ginkgo tree.

Can tangdouquan really produce beans? "I used to drip beans, but now I don't drip any more." Local villagers said they did not think it was a legend, but believed it.

It is said that when Li Shimin, the king of Qin, passed by during his eastward expedition, he set up camp and renovated his army here because of the malauton chariot. It happened that there was a severe drought at that time, and there was no grain for the army. Li Shimin's army had run out of grain for several days, so he had to use wild vegetables to satisfy his hunger. One day, when Li Shimin inspected the army, he found that some soldiers were dying. Li Shimin was very sad. He came to a mountain wall, drew his sword and sighed: "is heaven going to kill me?" In a rage, he stabbed the opposite wall with his sword. Suddenly there was a big hole in the wall of the mountain, and something magical happened: a few streams slipped out of the hole. What's more surprising is that there are beans in the gushing spring. After a while, the spring and beans all over the ground, emitting bursts of fragrance. Li Shimin and his soldiers were so surprised that they bowed to the holy spring one after another. Li Shimin's army drank spring water and ate beans, which greatly boosted their morale. Therefore, Li Shimin named this spring tangdou spring.
