Zangbu Badong waterfall group
There are actually two waterfall groups in Zangbu Badong waterfall group. It is located at the foot of xixingla mountain and on the riverbed about 20km away from the entrance of Qianlong Zangbu River, with an altitude of 2140m. On the riverbed 600m apart, there are two waterfalls, 35m high (zangbadong waterfall II) and 33m high (zangbadong waterfall I). The former is only 35m wide, which is the largest riverbed waterfall in Yalu Zangbu Grand Canyon.
brief introduction
There are actually two waterfall groups in Zangbu Badong waterfall group.
It is located at the foot of xixingla mountain in Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon and on the riverbed about 20 km away from the confluence of Qianlong Zangbo 29 ° 46 ', east longitude 95 ° 10', altitude 2140 meters; on the river bed 600 meters apart, there are two waterfalls, which are 35 meters high (waterfall group 2) and 33 meters high (waterfall group 1), respectively. The former is only 35 meters wide, which is the largest river bed waterfall in the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon.
In such a short range, the formation of multi-level waterfalls on the main stream of the great river is the first discovery in China and rare in the world.
Experts believe that according to the available data, the formation of these waterfalls is only a few decades ago, which shows that the geological tectonic movement of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau in the Grand Canyon area is very strong, and the four waterfalls are all bedrock shaped, obviously formed in the new geological tectonic movement, which also shows that this area is the area with the most abundant hydropower resources in the Grand Canyon.
The waterfalls of Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon constitute a rare natural wonder in the world's river valleys.
As precious natural resources, they have important potential value in water conservancy and tourism development and sustainable development, and also have important significance in scientific research.
Zangbu Badong waterfall group is rated as the first of the six most beautiful waterfalls in China.
In this section, the average slope is 9.6 ‰.
In the 2.9 km reach of xiazangbadong waterfall group in xixingla, the river bed slope has reached the extreme value of 75.6 per thousand.
In such a short distance, there are several sharp turns in the river bed, including S-shaped turn and right angle turn.
All the bend channels cut deep into the bedrock, with crisscross mountain mouths. The narrowest part measured is only 35 meters wide.
In the Shicao gorge, the torrent is rushing, and at the turning point of the riverbed, waterfalls and waterfall groups often appear.
Regional ecology
The area where the Grand Canyon is located is an area inhabited by ethnic groups. There are Menba, Luoba and Tibetan people with simple and hospitable customs.
Entering the farmhouse, every family treats each other with yellow rice wine. The hostess stands in front of the guests and drinks bowl after bowl. Only when she reciprocates with the host's wine can she stop toasting.
There are wild banana, wild banana, wild pineapple, wild lemon, wild orange and so on. There are countless fungus, mushroom, bamboo shoots, pepper, star anise. There are oil content of more than 70% of the oil melon, horse egg fruit, rag seed, Tibetan melon. There are more than 100 meters of rattan, Gepo, Jiexiang, angtian lotus. There are rich and colorful starch plants such as Dioscorea, tree fern, lotus fern, mountain longan.
There are more than a thousand kinds of medicinal plants. The common ones are five eye fruit, which is used to treat heart disease, Cephalotaxus hainanensis, which is used as anticancer drug, santaihua, which is used to prevent malaria, Trillium Trillium, which is used to prolong life, heijiecao, which is used to clear throat and moisten throat, as well as important Tibetan medicines such as jujube, uncaria, Dendrobium, Gastrodia elata, Panax notoginseng, Schisandra chinensis, Hedysarum aeanum, Ganoderma lucidum, Cordyceps, Fritillaria, Saussurea, Aconitum kusnezoffii, etc.
Mystique
The Badong waterfall group in Tibet is magnificent and surging, which is a mysterious and magnificent scene in the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon in Tibet. In flood season, the river overflows in Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, so the dry season is the only choice for further investigation.
There are only a few scientists, explorers and photographers who are lucky to see zangbadang waterfalls. Only Yang Liusong took pictures during the wet season
find
It is said that the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, the largest waterfall in China, is unknown to people.
On November 11, 1998, the Chinese scientific expedition team of the Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon first discovered the dream waterfall in the Grand Canyon.
Waiting for more people to witness the magnificent waterfall and Grand Canyon. The famous Chinese waterfall has the best position here, waiting for the dream waterfall and more information about the Yarlung Zangbo waterfall.
On November 11, 1998, the scientific expedition team of Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon discovered the legendary waterfall for the first time, which is a typical river bed waterfall.
On November 22, 1998, a scientific expedition team discovered a waterfall group in a place called Zangbu Badong! The following is a description of the waterfall group by the scientific research team. The first waterfall is separated by a huge stone in the middle, forming two left and right sides. The water mist rising up to 100 meters behind is spectacular.
Its drop is 35 meters and its width is 62 meters. It is located on the main channel of Yajiang river. At the same time, Yajiang River makes an S-shaped sharp corner here.
About 600 meters down the Yajiang River, a second main waterfall appeared, parallel to the former.
This is the narrowest and fastest waterfall in the group, with a drop of 35 meters and a width of 35 meters. The falling water of the waterfall slaps on the stone wall, making a sound like thunder. A deep pool is formed under the waterfall, and the water is boiling, much like boiled milk. The Grand Canyon forms another right angle at the triangular deep pool.
It seems that due to the change of rock strata and the sudden concentrated cutting of water flow, the Grand Canyon becomes extremely narrow in this section, with the steepest slope. The formation of waterfalls is an inevitable form of energy release.
After about 100 meters down from the second waterfall, there are four small waterfalls in a row, with a drop of about 5 meters.
According to the analysis of experts, these small waterfalls are formed by debris flow or rocks accumulated by landslides. From the first waterfall to the last waterfall, the water surface of Yajiang River dropped more than 100 meters. In other words, the total fall of the waterfall group in this section of the canyon is not less than 100 meters!
Cause of formation
The formation of waterfalls, especially the formation of river bed waterfalls in the Grand Canyon, should be a stage of river bed geomorphology due to the difference of topography caused by the interaction of internal and external forces. The role of its formation factors should be comprehensive and complex. Of course, in the analysis of its formation factors, there will be major or minor differences, which can also be said to be an inevitable performance in a certain period of time under the action of a series of comprehensive factors under specific conditions. The river bed waterfall in Grand Canyon is an inevitable form of energy release in certain geological structure under the condition of short distance, high slope and large amount of water. It is also an inevitable form of traceable erosion of river development in the current period and in specific terrain.
Of course, the formation of the waterfall group is different, through a very detailed work, specific analysis. For example, on the river bed more than 20 kilometers from xixingla to palongzangbuhui entrance:
(1) In a short distance, the river course makes S-shaped or right angle sharp turning. The large main waterfall and relatively concentrated waterfall group are most likely to appear at the S-shaped turning part and right angle turning part of the river bed. This kind of places where the topography changes suddenly and the stress is relatively easy to concentrate, such as the largest (drop) zangbadong I and II waterfalls appear at the S-shaped turning part of the river bed .
(2) In a short distance, there is a large waterfall at the turning point where the shape of the deep channel of the canyon bedrock bed changes. For example, rongzha waterfall falls from a relatively wide river bed to a suddenly narrowed river bed into a deeper and narrower bedrock channel. At the same time, there must be a deep pool under any giant waterfall, which will inevitably change the shape of river bed and valley and the nature of water flow. This is also a complementary difference, which should be said to participate in the formation process of waterfall terrain. For example, the Zangbu Badong waterfall falls down to form a large triangular waterfall trough, in which the waterfall water whirls rapidly to form a triangular pool, and then falls down again with milk like milky water.
(3) Based on the analysis of satellite images, the metamorphic rock series of zangbadong No.2 waterfall is near East-West trend, and the occurrence of both banks is continuous. The appearance of the waterfall should be mainly due to the difference of relative stress concentration caused by sharp bend and beam of riverbed. In rongzha waterfall, according to Professor Zhang Wenjing, the appearance of the waterfall has something to do with the appearance of hard lithologic strata such as quartz dikes in horizontal rock strata.
(4) The appearance of a series of small-scale waterfalls and water falls below Zangbu Badong No.2 waterfall, that is, the largest waterfall in the Grand Canyon (with a height of 35 meters), is also related to the blockage of many large collapses and deposits in the riverbed. In the whole Grand Canyon, some river bed small waterfalls and dangerous shoals, many of which are related to the strong branch gully debris flow accumulated on the main river bed of the main stream, and the difference caused by the partial change of river bed slope is also related.
(5) The complex tectonic arc of the grand bend gorge is between different plates. The granitic tectonic mylonite belt appears here. The fission track dating shows that the uplift has reached 30mm / a since 150000 years, which is one of the strongest uplift areas on the earth. Here, the upwelling of mantle material is a "hot spot" area of the earth with "high temperature, low density, low magnetism, negative gravity, many earthquakes and strong tectonic movement". All in all,
