Beilun Museum
Beilun museum is located at 37 Zhonghe Road, Xinqi street, Beilun District, Ningbo City. It is the first newly built comprehensive museum at district (county) level in Ningbo, the third National Museum, the Zhejiang Provincial Museum of civilization, and the fifth batch of patriotism education bases in Zhejiang Province and the second batch of Ningbo city.
Since the opening of the museum, 36 temporary exhibitions have been held or introduced, and a mobile museum has been established, which has achieved good social benefits. The collection is mainly composed of historical relics, most of which are ceramics, and a small amount of jade, gold and silver, bronze, wood, calligraphy and painting.
Development history
Beilun museum is the first newly built comprehensive museum at district (county) level in Ningbo. It was completed and opened on March 12, 1996 and opened to the whole society free of charge on April 1, 2004.
Since the opening of the museum, 36 temporary exhibitions have been held or introduced, and a mobile museum has been set up. So far, it has received more than 325000 visitors, which has achieved good social benefits.
In April 2008, through the implementation of the new image project of Beilun Museum, part of the buildings were renovated and renovated, and the basic display was comprehensively renovated.

Beilun Museum covers an area of 350 square meters and a building area of 1000 square meters.
There is a preface hall on the first floor, exhibition halls of ancient Beilun, modern Beilun and modern Beilun on the second floor, and exhibition hall of Beilun folk cultural relics on the third floor. The collection contains 1494 pieces (sets) of precious cultural relics unearthed and handed down from Beilun District, most of which are ceramics, and a small amount of jade, gold and silver, bronze, wood, calligraphy and painting. Among them, Daiban of Eastern Han Dynasty, milled stone, Pankou pot of Sui Dynasty, powder box with lotus pattern of Five Dynasties, pollen box carved in Yue Kiln of Northern Song Dynasty, Tongquan of Yuan Dynasty and Yao Xie figure painting of Qing Dynasty are the best works of the museum.
The basic display can be divided into:
① In ancient Beilun, the history and culture of pengjiu in Beilun District were displayed through the contents of "the dawn of civilization", "the prosperity of gathering ethnic groups", "the development of Binhai" and the unearthed cultural relics;
② In modern Beilun, the Anti Japanese, anti British and anti French Wars took place in Beilun as clues, and a large number of historical relics directly reflected the glorious revolutionary tradition of Beilun people who were not afraid of violence and resisting foreign aggression;
③ Modern Beilun, with the theme of "Yangyang Oriental port, reform and opening up outpost", closely follows the pulse of the times and shows the great achievements of development and opening up of Beilun region in the past ten years;
④ The natural science room and Museum cover an area of 350 square meters, with a total investment of 1.85 million yuan and a construction area of 100 square meters, including 400 square meters of exhibition area and more than 400 cultural relics.
Collection
The collection is mainly composed of historical relics, most of which are ceramics, and a small amount of jade, gold and silver, bronze, wood, calligraphy and painting. Among them, Eastern Han Daiban, grindstone, Sui Pankou pot, Five Dynasties lotus pattern powder box, Northern Song Yue Kiln carved pollen box, Yuan Dynasty Tongquan, Qing Yaoxie figure painting and so on are the museum's fine works. At the same time, there are also gold barrel, wooden mirror box and other folk cultural relics, modern and contemporary The paper money, Chairman Mao's portrait, the calligraphy works of former Defense Minister General Zhang Aiping and the original album of famous serial painter he Youzhi.
The exhibition hall of the museum is completely closed, using modern means such as sound, light, electricity and traditional display methods. The basic exhibition can be divided into four parts: Ancient Beilun, modern Beilun, modern Beilun and Beilun folk cultural relics exhibition hall. The ancient Beilun part shows the long history and culture of Beilun area by using the unearthed cultural relics through the dawn of civilization, the prosperity of clan gathering and the development of coastal areas. In modern Beilun, the wars against Japan, Britain and France took place in Beilun as clues, and historical relics directly reflected the glorious revolutionary tradition of Beilun people. With the theme of "Yangyang Oriental port, reform and opening up outpost", the modern Beilun part closely follows the pulse of the times and shows the great achievements of Beilun regional development and opening up. The exhibition hall of Beilun folk cultural relics reproduces Beilun people's industrious, brave, simple and honest production and living customs by using the folk cultural relics and other material materials in its collection.
