St. Jacob's Chapel
This exquisite hall was built in 1629 and rebuilt on the fort of ma'ge in 1740, which is at the end of Macao.

Saint Jacob
Saint Jacob is the patron saint of Macao. It is said that he often patrols in the city, so that his boots are often covered with mud. However, a scholar is responsible for cleaning the boots for the statue. Once, he forgot to wipe his boots, and was injured in the head by the sword of the statue.
Inside the church, there are exquisite statues of Saint Jacob and tile images of the Virgin Mary of huadima and Queen Isabel. It is said that Saint Jacob is the military defender of Macao.
