Qilin cave in Guizhou

Qilin cave is located in Qianling Park, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, formerly known as Baiyi nunnery. This is the place for nuns to practice. During the Anti Japanese War, Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng, two famous Anti Japanese patriotic generals, were imprisoned here.

The cabin is of brick and wood structure, with a prominent short corridor at the entrance in the middle and a red lacquer wooden column on both sides. Entering the small main hall is the "living room" for the general to receive visitors and have dinner. The wing room on the right side is the bedroom for the young commander's wife, Miss Zhao Yidi, and the maid from 1941 to 1942. In 1949, it was occupied by General Yang's secretary, Mr. Song Qiyun, and the father and son of little luobotou. The two cabins on the right have imprisoned General Zhang and General Yang. At that time, in addition to the bed and chair, the four walls were empty. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the nunnery was demolished and a long corridor shaped tea hall was built. In 1985, it was restored to its original appearance and became a national cultural relic protection building. Some historical materials about the general and "Double Twelve" are displayed in the room. Between the entrance of the cave and the gate of the nunnery is a small patio, adjacent to the mountain and facing the cave, with a quiet environment. Now there are four Bauhinia, sweet scented osmanthus and pomegranate plants, and chrysanthemums are planted all around the ridge. In the golden autumn, the flowers are gorgeous, the osmanthus is fragrant, the pomegranates are fruiting, and the green leaves are dancing.

Qilin cave covers an area of 280 mu. To the East, there are a large number of projects under construction, market service areas and large children's parks, such as fengchiyuan, the first five-star hotel in western Guizhou, Huayuan Hotel and Shidai Jiayuan. To the south, there are high-quality and high-grade residential quarters, such as Xinglong villa and auto parts city commercial and residential buildings.

The scenic spot is composed of two parts: the garden outside the cave and the landscape inside the cave. The cave is 580 meters long and has two sightseeing paths: water and drought. You can take a boat or walk. According to the space layout inside the cave, there are six distinctive natural cave halls, including Chaoyun, Tinghai, dihaicheng, Buyun, Hecheng night and longchaofengyuan. Each cave hall has its own characteristics and echoes with each other, inosculate as a whole. Inside the cave is the largest Taihu stone with an area of more than 200 square meters in China. The karst deposits in the cave are unique in shape and various in appearance. Under the light, they are colorful and bizarre. They are like "Dongtian waterfall" and "Jigong drunk". They are lifelike, dazzling and unforgettable. The garden at the entrance of the cave has stone Qilin, lotus pool, dragon archway, biological frame, peace altar and other landscapes. At the entrance of the garden, there are stone sculptures on the left and right. The unicorn sits on the stone platform and roars up to the sky. Its voice vibrates the sky and its posture is majestic and majestic. Behind the unicorn is a stone arch bridge with 14 columns. Each column has a small unicorn, which is beautiful and lifelike. The arch bridge crosses the lotus pond to the Dragon archway. The archway is 15 meters high and 12 meters wide. It is made of walnut wood. Four Dragon turtles hold up four jade pillars, and four green dragons spiral up. It is the most modern wood carving in Guizhou. Through the archway into the garden, there are many plants, including Davidia involucrata, a national first-class protected plant, Osmanthus fragrans, Magnolia, cloves, a bunch of red and other fresh flowers, competing for splendor and colorful. The architectural style of the park is antique. Couplets and plaques written in seal script, official script, running script, cursive script and Wei script add a lot of scholarly flavor to the park.
