Zhuhai Hengqin International Tennis Center
Zhuhai Hengqin International Tennis Center, with a total land area of about 148000 square meters, is located in the middle of Zhuhai Hengqin new area, the third national level new area approved by the State Council. The first phase covers an area of about 61000 square meters, with a building area of about 28400 square meters. The concept scheme of the venue is designed by populous, the world's leading tennis court design company. The center will be built into a world-class tennis venue.

Zhuhai Hengqin International Tennis Center is located in the middle of Hengqin new area, with a total land area of about 148000 square meters. It will be constructed in two phases. In the first phase, a 5000 seat central stadium, a 1500 seat match court, four 250 seat match courts and 12 outdoor training grounds will be built. The second phase will build 12000 home stadiums for top competitions, as well as cultural exhibition area, indoor training hall, athletes' apartment and supporting service center.
Since the construction of Hengqin International Tennis Center started in September 2014, it has been progressing smoothly. At present, the architectural engineering design has been basically completed, and the landscape and interior design has entered the preliminary design stage, which is expected to be completed by the end of February 2015. The first stage of pile foundation construction has been basically completed, the first floor of the central stadium has been completed by 50%, and 8 of the 12 training grounds are under construction. It is expected that the construction can be completed in September 2015, and the test competition will be held in October to welcome the official competition from November 2 to 8.

Zhuhai, China will host a new event - Zhuhai WTA super elite, which includes singles and doubles, with a prize of 2.15 million US dollars. The event will be held in Zhuhai Hengqin International Tennis Center for five consecutive years from 2015 to 2019. It is the third highest level international women's tennis event in China after China open and Wuhan open.
