The stone boat, taken from the meaning of the Haiqing River, is also known as the stone boat of the summer palace in Beijing. It is located in the northwest of Kunming Lake and on the West Bank of Wanshou mountain. The purpose of building stone boats in gardens is not only to prove that water is alive and can take a boat, but also to highlight the realm of "no one crossing the river".

Beijing Summer Palace stone boat
The stone boat of the summer palace in Beijing (as shown in the picture), also known as the Qing Yan boat, is located in the northwest of Kunming Lake, on the West Bank of Wanshou mountain. It was built in 1755. The hull is carved with huge stones, with a total length of 36 meters. The two-story white wooden buildings on board are decorated with marble patterns with paint and decorated with brick carvings on the top. They are exquisite and gorgeous. They are the famous treasures of Water Architecture in the summer palace.
The cabin on the boat was originally an ancient architectural form, but the Chinese cabin on the boat was burned when the British and French invasion. In the 19th year of Guangxu (1893), according to Cixi's intention, the original Chinese style cabin was transformed into a western style cabin with five color glass inlaid on the windows. It is the only building with western style in the garden. And take the meaning of Qingyan River, named qingyanfang.
Shizilin stone boat in Suzhou
Shizilin shipang, located in the northwest of Shizilin pool, was built in the early Republic of China. All sides of the boat are in the water. There is a small stone bridge in the bow of the boat, which connects with the pool bank, just like a springboard. The hull, beam and roof are made of stone, and the doors, windows, hanging and decoration are made of wood. The front cabin is towering, the roof is curved, the middle ship is low and flat, the roof is a platform, the upper and lower rooms of the cabin are connected by stairs. It is exquisitely made and lifelike in shape, with some Western flavor in details.
Stone boat of Nanjing Presidential Palace
The stone boat in the West Garden of Nanjing presidential palace is located at the site of Nanjing presidential palace, 292 Changjiang Road, east of Nanjing city. It is a relic of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. In July 1864, Zeng Guoquan's troops of Hunan army captured Tianjing and set fire to the palace. Only the "Golden Dragon hall" with five rooms and eight frames in the center and the stone boats and waterside pavilions in the West Garden remained.
Yanyuan shipboat site in Peking University
Located on the Bank of Weiming Lake in Yanyuan of Peking University, this area was called Shuchun garden in Qing Dynasty, which was a part of Yuanmingyuan. Qianlong gave it to Heyao. In the 10th year of Xianfeng, the Old Summer Palace was burned by the British and French forces, and the Shuchun garden was also destroyed. Only the base of the stone boat and the "Linfeng Daiyue tower" remained, which is the former site of linhuxuan.
Yuanmingyuan has its own stone boat
From 1985 to 1992, the site of the unique cave was renovated in an all-round way. The stone boat base and Xishan Square Pavilion were restored successively. Today, there is still a base for the stone boat at the site.
