Located in Guanyin mountainside of Dapeng Town, it was built in the Tongye period of the Qing Dynasty (1862-1874) and rebuilt in the 34th year of Guangxu (1908).

The name of "Longyan" comes from a large stone on the hillside. The stone is 3 meters thick and more than 20 meters in diameter. It suddenly stretches out from the valley and tilts upward, just like a dragon, so it is called "Longyan". Later generations built temples on rocks and named them "Longyan ancient temple". This is also the characteristic of the ancient temple. Another feature of the ancient temple is the spring water in front of the big stone. It is sweet and cool for a hundred years. The local people call it "fairy water". Interestingly, those who want to take "fairy water" must kneel down to get it.

Longyan ancient temple is located on the hillside with the shade of flowers and trees. The environment is quiet and elegant, and it is built by the mountain and stone, which is unique and natural. Because of the appearance of Guanyin Bodhisattva, the green lamp has been on for more than a hundred years. During the Anti Japanese War, Dongzong hospital was set up here.

In the cultural revolution, Longyan temple was destroyed. In the autumn of 1985, local people and overseas Chinese living in the United States, West Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, as well as compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao, donated money to restore the old Longyan Temple according to its original appearance. The main project was completed in the midsummer of 1985. Later, the health pool was rebuilt, the climbing stone steps were expanded, and many pavilions were built in the mountains. At the end of 1993, a statue of Avalokitesvara, nearly 10 meters high, was built in the health pool, and a pagoda, more than 4 meters high, was built in front of the temple gate. Now the concrete road has been built, and you can drive directly to the temple.

Longyan ancient temple is located in the south of Wang Mu Wei, Dapeng street, and the north foot of Longshi mountain. It is named because it was built on the giant stone of Longyan.

According to the inscription of Longyan temple, the temple was first built in the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty (1862-1874) and rebuilt in the 34th year of Guangxu period (1908). Longyan ancient temple is located on the hillside with green shadows and flowers. The environment is quiet and elegant. In addition, it is built by the mountain and stone. It is unique and natural. There is also the legend that Guanyin Bodhisattva appeared here. Therefore, for more than a hundred years, there have been endless lights and incense. There is a white jade statue of Avalokitesvara holding a pure bottle under the temple gate, and a pagoda in front of the temple gate.

What's more amazing is that in the cave under the altar of Guanyin hall, there is a clear spring that has lasted for a hundred years. This spring is warm in winter and cool in summer. It is refreshing and sweet. It has the effect of relieving summer heat and refreshing the mind and eyes. It is known as "fairy water".

The local government takes Longyan ancient temple as the center to develop the surrounding area and build Guanyin Mountain Park. They can also worship and relax.
