brief introduction
The park was built by the French Concession authority. The typical building is a hexagonal stone pavilion in the center of the garden (it was changed into an octagonal pavilion during the reconstruction of the Republic of China). Taking the stone pavilion as the center, it radiates to the surrounding six intersections, forming a small garden area with different shapes among the roads. In the small area, the path is tortuous, with small bridges and flowing water, and green willows. The park is surrounded by iron railings, outside which is a road around the park.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the people's government has repeatedly allocated funds for the comprehensive renovation of the garden, which is full of holes and beyond recognition, and officially named it the Central Park.
history
Located in the center of Heping District, it is surrounded by circular garden road. It was built in 1917 and completed in 1922. It was called French garden at that time. There are statues of nordack, a French national hero, and a bronze statue of the goddess of peace in the park. After the Japanese occupation of Tianjin in 1937, the Japanese puppet authorities renamed the French garden central garden.
It was renamed central park after 1941 and Roosevelt garden in 1946, and the bronze statue was removed. In April 1949, the people's Government of Tianjin allocated funds to restore the park and renamed it the Central Park. The garden covers an area of 1.27 hectares and is a typical French regular artificial garden. A Western-style octagonal stone pavilion with double columns is built in the center of the garden, surrounded by lawns. In 1964, funds were again allocated to build the park, which was renamed "red scarf Park". After the 1976 earthquake, the park was damaged to varying degrees. In 1981, the city government funded the renovation, and the park was restored to its present name.
There is a ring-shaped rose belt. The main plants in the garden are Robinia pseudoacacia, Fraxinus, Malus, Muguan and rose. There are two symmetrical rockeries, a plum blossom fountain, two children's car parks and children's comprehensive playground. A Baihua hall was built in 1988, which is a multi-functional park.
In 1995, a bronze statue of general Ji Hongchang was set up in the courtyard. Today's Central Park is not only a new place full of shade, flowers and birds, people's leisure and children's recreation, but also a patriotic education base.
