Niuxinshi is located at the confluence of black and white water under niuxinting in Emei Mountain, with an altitude of 710 meters and about 15 kilometers away from Baoguo temple. Under the pavilion, there is a huge stone at the confluence of black and white water. It is about Zhang high and is shaped like a cow's heart, so it is called "cow's heart stone".

The water comes out of the bridge and hits the ox heart stone. The spray splashes like flying jade, and the sound of the water is like thunder. Therefore, it is said that "black and white water washes the ox heart". There is also a stele under the pavilion, which is the word "eternal pure sound" by the Ming people. "Shuangfei Pavilion" is a couplet written by Liu Guangdi, one of the "Six Gentlemen of the 1898 movement" in the late Qing Dynasty: "Shuangfei, two rainbow shadows, one ox heart forever".
