Dongjiang Park

Dongjiang park is located along the Dongjiang River in Huicheng District of Huizhou City. It starts from Dongjiang Bridge in the East, ends at Huizhou bridge in the West and faces Dongjiang Avenue in the north. Dongjiang park is one of the two rivers and four banks projects in Huizhou City, with a width of about 30-50 meters and a length of about 2.02 kilometers along the river. It is distributed in a belt, with a planned land area of 119500 square meters. The first phase of Dongjiang Park was completed in April 2003. It starts from Huizhou bridge in the East and ends at the junction of Huibo Yanjiang Road in the West. It is about 1.2 km long and covers an area of 100000 square meters. After the completion of the whole Dongjiang Park, a 3.22 km long belt Riverside Landscape Belt will be formed on the North Bank of Dongjiang River from Dongjiang Bridge to Huibo Riverside Road, adding a beautiful landscape to Dongjiang River.

The landmark large-scale sculpture "Hakka woman" in the central square of Dongjiang Park in the urban area is more than 8 meters high and made of copper. It symbolizes the gentleness, kindness, filial piety, diligence and virtue of Hakka women living on both sides of Dongjiang River for generations.
