The main income source of the village depends on the rental of factory buildings and farmland, which is mainly used to grow sweet potatoes and raise shrimps.

In response to environmental protection requirements, baguang village does not have a marine farm, and the previous water restaurant in the village has been cleaned up and closed. There are also 67 mariculturists and nearly 20 shrimp farmers, but there is basically no pollution. In addition to the silver leaf tree community in yanzao village, there are precious tree species such as banyan, longan, litchi and mangrove trees with a history of more than 100 years. The natural vegetation is well protected, and the available land in the village is about 12 square kilometers, which is very precious. "Now the villagers are very conscious to protect the ecology. If they find anyone who damages the environment, they won't agree." Due to the lack of industry, baguang village paid the price of underdevelopment when it protected the beautiful natural ecology of the whole village. Now it is still one of the poorest areas in Kwai Chung town with low per capita income.

Village of ancient trees

People in the village said that there are many ancient trees in the village with precious varieties. Any big tree can be over 100 years old. There are two or three woods that stand out.

There is a group of silver leaf trees behind Yaguang yanzao village, which is said to be a rare tree species only in China, Japan and India in the world. It has been listed as the key protection object of "national rare plant community protection community". The 300 year old tree has a huge girth that can reach four or five meters. Its roots are exposed in a plate shape. It is twisted, stretched and twisted like a dragon, almost two meters high. It is like a breathtaking sculpture.

The other is to Aozi village, where hundreds of camphor trees grow together, supporting each other and embracing each other. The whole village seems to be floating in the shade of camphor leaves.

In baguang, the 100 year old banyan trees commonly seen in the South can be seen everywhere. There is an ancient banyan tree that has grown for 250 years. It is unique. It has a single tree, luxuriant leaves and branches, and deep roots.

The coastal beach of baguang is covered with mangroves, about 200 mu. At that time, thousands of egrets settled here, flying in groups, which is very spectacular. Later, the mangroves were fatally destroyed because of the seafood cultivation, and the fish and shrimp were not harvested, and the egrets were displaced. However, under the conscious protection of the villagers, some birds began to return to them.

Haiqu Village

A few hundred meters ahead of baguang forest, you can see the sea, stretching for 13 kilometers. The bay is relatively closed due to its shallow beach due to geographical factors. Because of the original, the beach has the original record of nature. The shells on baguang beach are large and numerous, which can satisfy the city people's desire for nature. The shells here are complete and diverse in shape, as well as species that are hard to find elsewhere.

Transportation and communication

It's about 60 km from Shenzhen City - Yantian - Kuichong - Jinye road - Kuiba road - Jingxin reservoir - baguang. Due to some mountain roads, it takes 120 minutes one way. From Kwai Chung to baguang, there are only two lanes on the winding mountain road beside the reservoir and deep valley, with verdant mountains and green waters outside. It should be noted that the intersection from Kwai Chung to Kwai Ba highway is not very obvious. You must pay attention to the road signs or look at the map first.

Take bus No. 360 or 364 to Kwai Chung, then take bus No. 987 (five buses a day) to baguang village, or take a motorcycle or taxi to baguang village. It's 40 yuan per person.

Future development

Build Eastern high tech Zone

In July 2013, Shenzhen Science and technology innovation Commission and Dapeng New District held the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement in the civic center. Start the pilot construction of Dapeng New District smart city, and build it into the eastern high-tech zone.
