Haitang Garden
Haitang garden is located in Yuanqian street, Quancheng Road, in the courtyard of the Standing Committee of Shandong Provincial People's Congress. In the northwest corner of the hall of the Qing governor's office, north of pearl spring. There is only one Begonia.
The origin of the name
The only remaining Begonia is said to be planted by Zeng Gong, the governor of Qi State in the Northern Song Dynasty. In 1954, it was moved to the west 50 meters, the trunk withered and remained, but the young buds sprouted from the stump. Today, the new trunk has grown to 35 cm in diameter, and the old trunk has luxuriant branches and leaves, with a crown diameter of 8 meters. During the period of the Republic of China, it was called "pearl essence society", which was the Xihua Hall of the provincial government and the gathering place for distinguished guests. Later, it was named "Haitang garden" after "Haitang garden".

The garden is a classical courtyard. The north courtyard is close to Zhuoying lake, and the north and South are halls, with brown and red columns, green bricks and white walls. The front building is decorated with ridges and beasts, which is simple and elegant. The South courtyard is mainly equipped with flowers and trees. There is a tree pool in the pool, which is called Begonia. On the south side of Haitang garden, there are two exotic Elaeagnus angustifolia trees at each end of the rockery. In the early summer of each year, the branches are covered with small white flowers, which are intoxicating.
