Fujia rose Catholic Church is located in the south of Huangpu River, near Yuanshen road of Pudong Avenue. As early as the Xianfeng Period of the Qing Dynasty, the church was first built by Bishop Roberts of Italy, who was dedicated to Andoni. Because the church is located in Fu's house, it is called Fu's Catholic Church. In 1880, Kang Fumin, the general priest of Pudong, converted to the Virgin Mary of the rose after the expansion of the holy hall. In 1890, Gong Guyu, a national priest, built a Western-style church and a bell tower near the original church, which can accommodate 200 people.

In 1918, French priest Qi Shizhong (Ruyun) dedicated more than ten acres of land to the old church, and began to build the church, commonly known as the new church. It was built in 1920 under the auspices of the French priest huijiliang. The statue of the virgin rose made in France is worshipped in the hall. It is extremely exquisite, so it is also called the Rose Hall. Above the statue of the virgin is the mural of 21 Chinese martyrs. At the same time, a large solid wood altar was customized in France, which was inscribed with "grace platform" to show God's countless gifts to his followers through the Virgin Mary.

The hall is a Gothic building with a towering bell tower and exquisite decoration, which can accommodate 700 or 800 people. On November 27, French bishop Yao Zongli presided over the opening mass.

In 1928, the church was approved as "the land of Notre Dame" by the general assembly of Santo Domingo of Rome, and awarded "the amnesty of the rosary". So far, Fujia rose church has become the third largest holy land for the pilgrimage of the Virgin Mary in Shanghai parish after Sheshan Notre Dame hall and Tang tomb bridge Notre Dame hall. There is an endless stream of pilgrims to the church in October.

In 1931, Zhu Dayi, a Chinese priest, built a priest's building at the side of the church. In the east of the building, three bungalows were built to serve as a gathering place for the church members, which was called friendly meeting room. In 1934, pastor Zhu xuefan built the pavilion of Joseph, the pavilion of the sacred heart of Jesus and mount Notre Dame Ruth in the open space in front of the church. In 1937, after the August 13 incident, the clock building was destroyed by Japanese artillery fire and rebuilt after the war.

After the founding of the Republic, there were still religious activities in churches. During the "Cultural Revolution", all religious activities stopped, the facilities in the church were destroyed, the bell tower was demolished, and the Sansheng Pavilion disappeared. The parish is also occupied by several factories, and the church is divided into upper and lower floors.

On August 15, 1983, the temple was restored and the 23 meter high bell tower was rebuilt. On October 7, 1983 (the Virgin Mary of the rose), the priest Lian Guobang presided over the mass of the restoration ceremony. In 1984, the facilities in the hall were further improved. A whole painting of the holy three was painted on the wall of the main altar, under which a statue of the whole body of the Virgin Mary with little Jesus in her arms, several meters high, was consecrated. The sacrificial platform and its surrounding railings and reading platform are all made of white marble. The small altar in the left and right transepts respectively worships the sacred heart of Jesus and the great Saint Joseph. In 1988, "Sansheng Pavilion" was built one after another outside the hall, and in 1998, it was expanded and rebuilt to facilitate the prayer of believers.

In 2003, in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the restoration of the hall, the open space in front of the hall was re laid and the frescoes of Saint three were re painted. In 2005, the diocese and its parishioners jointly invested several million yuan to renovate and renew all the buildings in the parish, renovate the bronze statues of the three saints' Pavilion, heighten the bell tower, equip all the windows with decorative glass, re make the main altar and reading platform with all marble, and place the first-class skulls of the three saints, Saint Francis asisi, Saint Gala and Zhenfu magalida madolla . And under the leadership of father AI Zuzhang, he solemnly dedicated the holy hall.
