Pujiang Country Park

Pujiang country park is a suburban urban forest type country park with forest recreation and waterfront leisure as its main functions. It is located in Pujiang Town, east of Huangpu River and north of Dazhi River. It is an important feature of Pujiang country park to integrate the three concepts of "country, art and autumn scenery". With a total area of 15.29 square kilometers, the first phase of the park covers an area of 5.82 square kilometers. It is one of the seven pilot country parks in Shanghai. It has 5.3 kilometers of Huangpu River shoreline resources, a piece of woodland resources and rich cultural resources. It is the closest to the city center among all the suburban parks planned and constructed in Shanghai, and is about 20 kilometers away from the people's Square.

At the same time, it is also the first country park in Shanghai to become a national 4A scenic spot.

Park layout

At present, the first phase of Pujiang country park was officially opened on July 29, 2017, and the first large-scale autumn park in Shanghai has been presented to the public. It is also the nearest and most convenient suburban forest country park to the city center, which can be reached by self driving, subway, ferry and other transportation modes.

It is reported that the total area of Pujiang country park is 15.29 square kilometers. The phase I starting area is located in the northeast corner of the country park, with Changlin Road (newly built) in the north, lianyue road in the south, Puxing road in the East, Pujin road in the west, and Shenjiahu Expressway dividing it into North and south parts. It has five theme areas, including "vitality forest area, miracle garden area, Liulu pastoral area, forest recreation area and riverside stroll area", taking into account the five themes of "forest, flower, agriculture, bank and water". There are plenty of tourist routes in the park, such as walking and cycling, 4km riverside sightseeing Road, 2km rural water country tourist line, 26km country bicycle lane, and 22km half marathon road.

Park positioning

As far as its characteristic orientation is concerned, the park is a suburban autumn park with artistic theme, with countryside, city, art and autumn scenery as its key words. This place is full of original wild interest and rich cultural and artistic resources. There is Shanghai Drama Academy in the north, Chinese film world (tentative name) in the East and Changshou temple in the West. These cultural resources will be fully utilized in the construction process to provide leisure space with artistic characteristics such as forest Performing Arts, Zen quiet garden, art workshop and gardening island.

"There are a large number of woodland resources and dominant deciduous communities in the park, and a large area of old areas need to be returned to forest," said Yu Wenhong, deputy chief engineer of Minhang Real Estate Co., Ltd. and technical director of country park project. Shanghai lacks a large-scale autumn park, and the local woodland practice also proves the feasibility of creating autumn scenery in country park. After completion, it will become the first autumn park in Shanghai Large scale autumn park.

The country park will try its best to keep the existing vegetation to ensure its wild interest. According to the requirements of ecological, species and landscape diversity, the key tree species are evergreen Cinnamomum camphora, deciduous Ginkgo biloba and Sapium sebiferum, Magnolia grandiflora, Cedrus deodara, Osmanthus fragrans, Koelreuteria paniculata, Cunninghamia lanceolata and Albizia julibrissin. There are more than ten characteristic tree species, such as Sapindus Sapindus, persimmon, jujube and loquat, cherry, Rhododendron and Begonia in spring, wisteria, Canna and wild rose in summer, and hibiscus and Hibiscus in autumn. There are also avirulent tree species, such as holly, Pyracantha fortuneana, etc., which are estimated to attract birds to settle down; there are also aquatic plants, lianas, bamboo plants, etc. With so many plants, walking into the park is equivalent to walking into the natural oxygen bar.

Four highlights of the park

Horticultural Island: create an ornamental horticultural landscape and form a characteristic horticultural island located in the forest. There are some buildings on the island. Customers can participate in horticultural production and horticultural exhibition.

Egret willow Bank: the existing willow trees and water system are preserved, egrets and other animals are introduced to create a wild and natural atmosphere, and it is also an important ecological reserve and animal habitat in the park.

Orchard picking: the current seedling forest will be changed into picking forest to provide a place for urban people to experience picking and farming.

Water bank Camping: on the basis of good forest and rich water system on the west side of Puxing highway, various types of camping sites are set up.

Miracle garden art flower show

From March 15 to June 9, the Spring Art Flower Exhibition of miracle garden in 2019 will meet with citizens and tourists, and 2 million exotic flowers will be displayed for nearly three months. The theme of the flower show is "where are the magical animals - spring fun Carnival of miracle garden art flower show in 2019". As the protagonist of the flower show, this year's flower show covers an area of 430000 square meters, displaying hundreds of varieties and about 2 million exotic flowers in the world.
