Beijing Film Studio, one of the production bases of Chinese feature films, is referred to as "Beiying". After the liberation of Beiping (now Beijing) in 1948, the Communist Party of China took over the No.3 studio of the former Kuomintang Central film enterprise company, and transferred a group of literary and artistic backbones from Yan'an and Northeast China to establish the Beiping film studio on April 20, 1949.

Old Beijing Film Studio

Beijing Film Studio, located at No.77, Middle North Third Ring Road, Beijing, was founded in 1949. After the liberation of Beiping in 1948, the Central People's Government of the Communist Party of China was very concerned about the growth of the people's film industry. Beijing Film Studio was changed into a professional feature film studio, and Wang Yang continued to be the director of the studio. In 1956, it was changed into a feature film factory. It began to explore boldly in film creation and production management, gradually formed its own style, and made innovations in director, performance, photography and fine arts.
