Jinxiu Fang, the difference between East Jinxiu Fang and West Jinxiu Fang, is the two archways in front of the palace city of the Southern Tang Dynasty. Because they are decorated with brocade, they are extremely magnificent: so they are called "jinxiufang". According to baixiasuoyan, "Yujie (today's Zhonghua Road) of the Southern Tang Dynasty is in the south of Tianjin bridge (today's neiqiao), directly facing Zhenhuai bridge, and Taiwan Province is in line. The canal is covered with mud. In the East and West, there is Jinxiu square.
The origin of naming
In the Northern Song Dynasty, the palace city of the Southern Tang Dynasty was the seat of Shengzhou and Jiangning; after Gaozong Zhao Gou went to the south. Taking Jiangning Prefecture as the "east capital", the former Jiangning Prefecture was changed to "Xinggong" in the Southern Song Dynasty, and the former Jiangning Prefecture was moved to dongjinxiufang.
In Yuan Dynasty, dongjinxiufang was the location of xingyushitai, the agency of the central government.
During the peasant uprising at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, after Zhu Yuanzhang captured Jiqing (today's Nanjing), he lived in dongjinxiufang, which was known as "King Wu's residence" at that time. After the completion of the new palace (Ming Palace Museum), it was called "old Nei". Xijinxiufang was the Yamen of yingtianfu in the Ming Dynasty, and No. 12 of Jinfu West Street is where it is. 43, Fuxi street, Town God's Temple. The existing hall is the only remaining Town God's Temple in Nanjing. It was built in the Ming Dynasty, and the existing buildings were rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty.
According to the collection of thieves' feelings, Hu Yihuang, king of Yu, lived in Fuxi street during the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. According to Nanjing folklore, East jinxiufang was a workshop for weaving dragon robes and jade belts in the Ming Dynasty, hence the name of jinxiufang. The origin of this kind of legend is the misunderstanding of the word "Jinxiu".
