Start construction
Zhidanyuan, the largest water conservancy project site of the Yuan Dynasty in China, was discovered in May 2001. After several excavations, it was selected as "China's top ten archaeological discoveries in 2006". Shanghai Municipal Cultural Relics Management Committee has been planning to build a heritage museum on the site, which will bring the excavated bricks and tiles, blue and white porcelain pieces, celadon bowls and other cultural relics of the yuan and Ming Dynasties to the public Public display. However, the site is located in the downtown area of Shanghai, surrounded by high-rise buildings and complex environment. The original site was intended to build residential buildings, but the changes involved a lot. After years of efforts, the construction of the museum finally started. Yesterday, the construction party revealed that the museum is expected to cover an area of more than 2300 square meters, with a small area and small volume. The above ground building is expected to cost more than 23 million yuan, while the underground related protection is expected to cost more than 50 million yuan. The architectural design scheme of the heritage museum also involves many aspects, such as the safety of underground cultural relics, the difficulty of excavation and so on. The authoritative experts formed the "evaluation group of Museum Architectural Design Scheme", held several expert demonstration meetings, and finally determined after three major modifications and designs. Cai Zhenyu, the chief designer, told the reporter that due to the narrow space, the overall design of the site museum will be combined with the built residential buildings around. The plane is in the shape of lattice tail, which is the form of iron Falcon connecting the excavated stones. The central space is semi open. The design focuses on ecological and energy-saving measures. It not only has artificial air conditioning, but also has a natural ventilation system, which makes the underground more spacious The space of the museum has the vitality of natural ventilation. The roof is made of glass, which is intended to introduce the sky light into the underground. The glass is a broken line shape, which is a metaphor for the trickling water under the sluice. In addition to modern technology, the design also pays great attention to the characteristics of the context of the Yuan Dynasty. On the only two beautiful columns in the middle, the abstract form of Genghis Khan's crossbow of the Yuan Dynasty is molded to reflect the image of the context of the Yuan Dynasty of the Shuizha Ruins Museum.
