Fudan University Museum
The Museum of Fudan University is located near the big lawn in the west of the campus with elegant environment. It faces east from the West. It is an early building of Fudan University with upper and lower floors, with a total area of about 1600 square meters. A small gray two-story building on the west side of Xianghui hall is where the Department of culture and Museum of Fudan University is located. Few people know that the unique museum of Fudan University is located here. In order to deeply understand and feel the profound historical and cultural heritage of Fudan, for the needs of teaching practice, with the strong support of the State Administration of cultural relics and the University, the Institute of culture and Museum allocated special funds for the comprehensive reconstruction and interior decoration of the building, which made the museum officially open on New Year's day in 1992.
The museum has a collection of more than 2000 pieces, which are donated by Henan Provincial Museum, Luoyang cultural relics team, Shanghai Museum and other units, as well as the old collections of Fudan University Library, College of culture and Museum, and Department of biology.
Historical development
The main Museum of Fudan University was built in 1991.
In 2020, Fudan University Museum is in the stage of reconstruction and expansion, and it is expected to open in a few years. It will connect the existing campus venues (such as Zujia biological Museum, pathological specimen museum, human science museum, etc.), and take the New Art Museum of the main campus (Handan campus) as the core. At the same time, the integration of art and science will eventually create a museum cluster of Fudan University, and promote the cluster to complement the school history museum, archives, library and so on.

Exhibition of folk cultural relics of Gaoshan Nationality
The exhibits were collected by Professor Liu Xian, Department of biology, Fudan University in the 1920s from Taiwan's Gaoshan ethnic communities. More than 100 pieces were selected from its more than 400 collections. Combined with literature and pictures, the exhibition reflects the traditional customs and culture of Gaoshan ethnic people from various angles, and makes some restorative scenery angles. Exhibition of teaching specimens of cultural relics
Nearly 200 pieces of bronze, pottery, porcelain, stone, jade, bamboo and wood artifacts are exhibited. The exhibition mainly serves the professional teaching of the Department of culture and Museum. Due to the appropriate use of artistic expression and easy to understand text, it has also become a place for non professional audiences to cultivate their sentiment and appreciate the ancient material culture.
Temporary exhibition hall of the Museum
The two temporary exhibition halls hold exhibitions of various collections or foreign art works. The exhibitions that have been held include the "picture exhibition of Fudan University History", the "Introduction exhibition of Hong Kong University", the "Guizhou Nuo carving art exhibition", "American Abstract Painting Exhibition", "American Indian Art Exhibition" and the "Japanese kukawa Kuo Fu calligraphy exhibition" ”Wait.
Affiliated venues
In September 2005, it was established in Youren calligraphy Museum, which is one of the components of Fudan University Museum. Yu Youren calligraphy exhibition hall is located in building 300, west of Xianghui hall, Handan Road Campus, Fudan University. At the end of 2008, Fudan University Museum of ancient ceramic specimens was established as a new part of Fudan University Museum, with an exhibition area of about 240 square meters.
Ceramic specimens can provide accurate origin information and related age information, which is very intuitive, and is an important reference for the study and identification of ancient ceramics. A complete set of ancient ceramic specimens in series is of great collection value.
Fudan Museum of ancient ceramic specimens collects and displays porcelain specimens from Tang, song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, including Guan, Ru, Ding, Jun, Yue, Longquan, Yaozhou, Cizhou, Xing, Dehua, Jingdezhen, Jian and Jizhou kilns. According to the glaze color of porcelain, the exhibition hall is divided into five exhibition areas: celadon, black porcelain, white porcelain, celadon and white porcelain, and colored porcelain. From different angles, the exhibition hall shows the audience the characteristics of various kinds of ancient Chinese porcelain, glaze and decorative techniques.

The exhibition room is located on the second floor, with a total area of about 800 square meters. It is divided into a preface hall and four exhibition halls. The room is fully covered with dark green carpet, the ceiling is equipped with beam cold light lighting lamps and rails, many large vertical air conditioners are set at the corners of each hall, all six specifications of wooden glass display cabinets are equipped with interior fluorescent lamps, split panel false walls are wrapped with blended fabrics, each hall is equipped with a number of infrared anti-theft alarm probes, and closed-circuit monitoring equipment It is controlled by the safety duty room. The design studio is located on the first floor, which can be used by many people at the same time. The storehouse is also located on the first floor, which is composed of a large bent shelf storehouse and a small warehouse preparation studio. The indoor wood floor is equipped with a medium-sized dehumidifier, the windows are all closed, and the storehouse is in a dark room at ordinary times. No ultraviolet fluorescent lamp is used for lighting when the storehouse works. The preparation room is equipped with a login workbench, a collection classification table, a catalog card box, a collection bottom search box, a tool cabinet, a hand-propelled flat car for transportation, etc., as well as a working computer and printer.
Organization setup
In addition to full-time custodians and security personnel, other work of the museum is mainly undertaken by teachers of the Department of culture and Museum. The large-scale collection registration and Exhibition updating work are carried out in combination with the practice of the Department of culture and Museum once every six months.

Collection

In terms of types, it involves various ancient art treasures such as ceramics and bronzes. Among them, the collection of ancient coins is relatively systematic, and more than 300 pieces of Oracle Bone Inscriptions from Yin and Shang Dynasties are also precious. There are also a number of works of contemporary Chinese Calligraphers and painters and American Abstract Art paintings. It should be noted that Fudan University has the largest collection of folk cultural relics of Taiwan's Gaoshan Nationality in mainland China, This has aroused great attention from people inside and outside the University and relevant research departments.
