Nanhua Garden

Nanhua garden, located in Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University, is one of the top ten cultural landscapes of Zhejiang University.

There is a well preserved wetland in the southwest of Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University. The lake water is clear and fish can be seen. From time to time, egrets fly from the reeds. The scenery is pleasant and wild. After the completion of the new campus, it was donated by the people's Government of Wuyi County. Through various efforts, the school specially built two 300 year old residential buildings in the late Ming Dynasty. When they were rebuilt, they were supplemented by langting and so on. At the same time, they were named Nanhua Garden. Pan Yunhe, President of Zhejiang University, personally inscribed a plaque for Nanhua garden, and bu Fanxiao, vice president, also wrote a tablet for it.

Nanhua garden, facing water on three sides, is a perfect combination of ancient and elegant forest garden style and modern civilization. It is an excellent resort for teachers and students of Zhejiang University to invite friends to recite poems, paint, relax and play. Every year on the third day of the third lunar month, the "March wind chanting" Poetry Festival held in Nanhua garden has become a classic cultural brand of Zhejiang University.

Nanhua garden is located on the West Bank of Qizhen Lake in Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University. The folk houses in the middle of Zhejiang Province are full of characteristics, but little is known about them. In the autumn of 2002, two residential buildings in the late Ming Dynasty were demolished at the intersection of Wuyi and Longyou. When the first phase of the Zijingang Campus project of Zhejiang University was completed, Wuyi County Government advocated and praised it. Mr. Wang Qingfang, an elegant scholar in Yizhong, bought it with emotion to enrich the campus culture. Zhejiang University, as a gift from the lotus, regarded it as a treasure. It was rebuilt at the selected site, supplemented by the corridor court. It was completed in May 2005 with the title of Nanhua garden. It is close to the beautiful autumn water, the spring willows brushing the fence, the distant reflection of the towering buildings and the surging students. Three hundred years ago, the ancient and elegant garden style and modern science and technology civilization were harmoniously integrated, and the movement was appropriate. Since then, scholars Junyan gathered here to exchange academic knowledge, recite poetry and paint, and enjoy themselves.

On the third day of the third lunar month, the ancients held cultural activities such as pulling out the ritual, feasting, singing, etc., inheriting the custom of "flowing wine to compose poems" and cooperating with the culture of the third lunar month. With the participation of teachers and students, poets and alumni inside and outside the school, they took the recitation and improvisation of Chinese ancient and modern poems and foreign poems as the main line, and created poems on the theme of Chinese ancient and modern poems and foreign poems Cheng's song and dance performance integrates various forms of literature and art into it, forming a harmonious situation in which China and the West are integrated, ancient and modern are taken care of, singing and creating are combined, and teachers and students interact.

On the afternoon of April 17, the "March wind recitation - March 3 poetry meeting" was held in Nanhua garden, Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University. In late spring and March, friends are like clouds; in Zhejiang, friends are full. Teachers and students gather together in Nanhua garden, taking spring as a medium, meeting friends with poems, tasting tea and enjoying music. On this sunny spring afternoon, accompanied by a melodious folk music ensemble, Mr. Fu Shen, a famous art historian, Chinese painting and calligraphy appraiser, and painter, wrote an inscription with his own hand: "spring blossoms and autumn fruits". He dropped the paper and waved the brush. A colorful picture of Yiwei Poetry Festival on March 3, 2009 unfolded slowly.

With the elegant fragrance of tea, the students of the recitation team dedicated a recitation of original poetry works that integrates the ancient and the modern. The ancient poetry is concise and elegant, and the modern poetry is soothing and beautiful, which shows the poetry passion of youth feelings. Xu Jin, director and recitation expert of Zhejiang Esperanto Association, explained the different styles of ancient recitation and modern recitation, which deepened the appreciation and understanding of the students. Although the styles of the poems recited by Xu Jin in Wenzhou dialect and Putonghua are quite different, they present different poetic charm. In the process of drawing lots and composing poems, the Orchid Pavilion collection is reproduced in Nanhua garden, the keepsake is delivered in the audience, the drum stops, and the poet becomes a poet. The poets share their poems and experience. At one time, the enthusiasm for creation was high. Alumni and teachers' on-the-spot poetry writing and unique poetry opinions make the atmosphere of the poetry meeting to a climax.

Spring scenery, calligraphy and painting rhyme, poetry, tea Qi contend. In addition to reading poems, there are more elegant tea and elegant calligraphy and painting. The poetry festival is accompanied by three tea performances. Tea people who are proficient in tea art offer three carefully cooked tea products: Longjing tea, Tieguanyin tea and Pu'er tea. Bathing in the fragrance of tea, chanting poems and drinking tea add more spring. At the same time with the poetry meeting, there is a long scroll of calligraphy and painting on one side of the meeting hall, which is a combination of poetry, calligraphy and painting.
