Shaanxi Peking Opera Theater Co., Ltd. was founded in 1958, formerly known as the art troupe of the first field and fourth army of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. In 1955, it was transferred to the local government. In 1958, with the support of Shanghai Peking opera academy and China Peking opera academy, it enriched its lineup and formed a new troupe. In 1959, the master of Peking Opera, Mr. Shang Xiaoyun, came to Shaanxi Province to serve as the general art director of Shaanxi opera school. In 1964, the Peking Opera class of "Opera School" merged with Shaanxi Peking Opera Troupe to form Shaanxi Peking Opera Theater. Introduction to theatre

After that, Mr. Shang served as president for several years. In the 1960s and 1970s, it was honored as "the five largest Peking opera troupes in China", and in 2006, it was evaluated as the national provincial key Peking Opera Troupe by the Ministry of culture. In October 2009, the company changed its name to Shaanxi Peking Opera Theater Co., Ltd.

Artistic achievements

Over the past 50 years since its establishment, the academy has created, adapted and rehearsed the following works: Yan'an army and people, red line, Zhang Fei Jingxian, shuangsuoshan, Weizhen mountain and river, sanshangbashan, qingfengyi, Fengyu laoqiang, Xianv in green, LEIYU, sirang Tanmu, Qixia Wuyi, lianghongyu, Wang Zhaojun, Cao Cao and Yang Xiu More than 270 excellent traditional and modern plays represented by "red light" and "outwit Tiger Mountain" have won nearly 200 awards.
