Yan ancient Great Wall Site
The site of the ancient Great Wall of Yan is located on the Xishan Mountain 20 km southwest of Changping Satellite City, 30 km long from north to south. Changping belonged to the state of Yan in ancient times. The northern section of the Great Wall was built in 283 BC, the 29th year of King Yanzhao in the late Warring States period.
Yan built a defensive wall on the northern border. The great wall of the unification of Qin Dynasty was abandoned and collapsed naturally. In 1984, it was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Beijing. Most of the existing Yan Great Wall sites are incomplete, about 1.5 meters high and 2 meters wide, and the city towers, enemy towers and beacon towers have collapsed into a pile of rubble.
