Songtang is located near the martial arts hall of Xiangshan Tuancheng. It was originally a small open hall beside the incense burning temple called "laiyuanzhai". The incense burning temple was built in the 14th year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty. It was the resting place for Emperor Gaozong when he came to Tuancheng for military parade. Laiyuanzhai sits on the West and faces the East. Its structure is made of white marble. White stone Fang column, there are couplets, banners. There is a throne carved with purple stone in the hall. Behind the throne is a stone screen, on which are engraved poems and prefaces written by Qianlong in praise of Jianrui YUNTI camp. After the stone open hall, there are simple stone stacks, exquisite and clear. The open hall is surrounded by nearly 100 Pinus bungeana, hence the name of Songtang.
