historical origin
Pinggu Beizhai apricot is derived from wild apricot bud, has a hundred years of cultivation history.
Beizhai red apricot is a variety bred by Beizhai people. Around the 1950s, it was the local villagers who first found another one or two apricot trees. The apricots are very delicious. In their words, they are the result of the "tooth change" of wild apricots. Beizhai people grafted it, from one or two lessons to tens of thousands of mu. If the red apricot trees in Beizhai are removed from the mountain pass for cultivation, the taste will change.
Origin environment
Beizhai village is located in the northernmost part of nandulehe Town, Pinggu District. It is located in a deep mountain area, with an altitude of 135-151 meters. Beizhai village, known as "the first village of red apricot in China", is located in the northeast of Pinggu District, under the jurisdiction of nandulehe Town, Pinggu District. It is located in a long narrow valley in the shallow mountain area at the east end of Yanshan Mountains. It is located in a deep mountain area, with an altitude of 135 to 151 meters, and the highest peak is 775 meters above sea level. The village covers an area of 23000 mu, with 95% forest coverage. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, it is a natural "summer oxygen bar" with beautiful scenery, fresh air, pleasant scenery, lush vegetation and gurgling springs.
The climate of Beizhai village is warm temperate semi humid continental monsoon region with four distinct seasons. It is dry and windy in spring, hot and rainy in summer, cool and humid in autumn and cold and dry in winter. The annual average temperature is 17.3 ℃. The annual average precipitation is 644 mm. Northwest wind prevails for many years. During the day, the sunshine is sufficient, the temperature is high, and the temperature drops a lot at night. The temperature difference between day and night is more than 15 degrees / day. Due to the high altitude of the four buildings in the north, the invasion of cold air flow is blocked, forming a unique natural microclimate. Northwest wind prevails for a long time with sufficient light and large temperature difference between day and night, which is very suitable for the growth of fruit trees and conducive to the accumulation of sugar. The soil in Beizhai village is derived from volcanic rocks, mainly cinnamon soil, covering an area of 3600 mu (about 2403.45 HA). The soil thickness is more than 50 cm. The content of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other elements in the soil is rich. The content of nitrogen is 1.03 g / kg, the content of available phosphorus is 23.53 mg / kg, and the content of available potassium is 190.24 mg / kg. The ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium increased the content of soluble solids, promoted the accumulation of dry matter and sugar, adjusted the ratio of acid to sugar, decreased the acidity, increased the sugar content, and the content of VC also increased significantly, maintaining a good flavor. The content of organic matter in the soil is as high as 18.12g/kg, which greatly increases the sugar content of Beizhai red apricot.
The soil type is leached cinnamon soil. The soil texture is light soil, pH value is 5.4 to 6.8, soil thickness is more than 30 cm, and soil organic matter content is more than 1.5%.
