Former residence of Li Yuanhong
Li Yuanhong was born in 1864 in Huangpi, Hubei Province. After the 1911 Wuchang Uprising, he was acclaimed as a leader, and took office as the president of the Republic of China in 1916 and 1922. After stepping down, he lived in seclusion in Tianjin, where he has two houses.
Former residence in Tianjin
First, in the British concession, Shengmao Road (now No. 219, Hebei Road, Heping District) was purchased by him in 1912 and 1918 in the name of Li Dade hall from the British concession Ministry of Industry Bureau, with a total land area of 8.096 mu, and then 4.69 Mu from Zhang Jinjian hall. After buying the land, Li entrusted a foreign architect to build 171 houses, covering an area of 8516.5 square meters. Among them, there are 150 buildings and 21 bungalows. The East building is a western style two-story mixed structure with basement, machine brick, tile roof, double slot doors and windows, Philippine wood floor; the West building is a French style three-story building with high steps, with platform, pavilion and magnificent decoration. Zhonglou, also known as Yuanyang Lou, is a western style two-story building surrounded by gardens. There are rest rooms and living rooms in the theater, where some of the latest famous actors have sung.
Second, in the German concession, William Road (now No. 256, Jiefang South Road, Hexi District), a 3.72 Mu real estate purchased by Li in 1917 in the name of Song Qing Fu Jun, was demolished and built into a garden house, with 44 rooms and a building area of 1878 square meters. It is a western style three story building with brick concrete structure, mixed water wall, sand and stone surface, pointed tile roof, marble steps, and the whole building and interior decoration They are all very particular. There are fountain, Square Pavilion, stone statue of immortal, etc. Li died in 1928. The above two houses have been demolished and rebuilt for several times, and the original buildings no longer exist.
Dawu's former residence
Li Yuanhong's former residence is located in Lijiahe, Lihe village, Pengdian Township, Dawu county. In this little-known village, Li Yuanhong is a political figure. The planning and design of Li Yuanhong's memorial hall and its facilities have been formed. The construction of Li Yuanhong's Memorial Hall will be actively donated by organizing social funds. The total investment is 3 million yuan, covering an area of 4 mu. The land acquisition of Li Yuanhong's former residence has started in late March. After the completion of President Li Yuanhong's hometown, it will become a famous cultural tourist attraction of Dawu.
Li Yuanhong, also known as Song Qing, was born on October 19, 1864 and died on June 3, 1928. In 1935, according to the specifications of the head of state, the then national government buried the remains of the couple in Zhuodaoquan, Wuchang.
